Evaporative emissions fuel tank venting system with pressure relief

A vent shut-off assembly configured to manage venting on a fuel tank configured to deliver fuel to an internal combustion engine includes a first liquid vapor discriminator (LVD), a main housing, a first poppet valve assembly, a pump and an actuator assembly. The first LVD is disposed in the fuel tank. The main housing selectively vents to a carbon canister. The first poppet valve assembly has a first poppet valve arranged in the main housing. The pump selectively pumps liquid fuel from the main housing. The actuator assembly is at least partially housed in the main housing and includes a cam assembly having a cam shaft that includes a first cam and a second cam. The first cam has a profile that one of opens and closes the first poppet valve fluidly coupled to the first LVD.

FOUR-WHEEL VEHICLE

A four-wheel vehicle includes an engine at least a portion of which is located farther forward than a seat, a fuel tank located above the engine and forwardly of the seat, a fuel filler including a fuel filler neck and a filler cap, a breather channel connected to the fuel filler, and an outflow prevention valve in the breather channel to prevent outflow of liquid fuel. The outflow prevention valve is located higher in a side view of the vehicle body than both of a lower end of the fuel tank and an upper end of the engine.

BREATHER CHECK VALVE

A vent apparatus is described for providing filtered air intake and rollover protection for a fuel tank. The apparatus may include a housing configured to be coupled with the fuel tank, the housing including at least one air intake port and at least one air exhaust port. The apparatus may include an air intake filter disposed within the housing and configured to receive and filter air from the at least one air intake port. The apparatus may include a rollover protection valve disposed adjacent to the housing and configured to be located inside the fuel tank when the housing is coupled with the fuel tank, the rollover protection valve coupled with the at least one air exhaust port. The rollover protection valve may include a chamber and a plug configured to impede the flow of fuel from the fuel tank into the at least one air exhaust port.

Fuel tank mounted refueling device

A refueling device that when mounted to a marine fuel tank facilitates refueling and minimizes the propensity for both spit-back and well back while simultaneously allowing a free flowing open pathway through which vapors generated by the refueling event may pass unencumbered.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATING A DUAL VALVE TANK

An improved ball valve for use between dual fuel tanks having a non-circular outlet aperture leading to the fuel line and engine that can allow fuel to pass therethrough even when the ball contained within the valve rests in the opening of the outlet aperture.

Magnetic Tip Valve
20200361307 · 2020-11-19 ·

A Magnetic Tip Valve mounted in the top of a fluid container described as open, allowing air to flow through it while upright and closed when rotated preventing fluid from escaping the container. A ball within a tube attracted by a magnet moves toward a seat which is located between the ball and magnet enhancing the function of the tip valve. The attraction between the ball and magnet being of sufficient strength to enhance the valve closure characteristics while not being strong enough to hold the valve closed while upright.

Vent control valve for fuel tank
10670161 · 2020-06-02 · ·

A vent control valve for a fuel tank controls a ventilation between a fuel tank and an outside, and includes: an annular valve seat defined in a case; a movable valve object which is movable relative to the valve seat; a seal component having an annular plate shape and held by the movable valve object to be seated on or separated from the valve seat to open and close a passage for ventilation; and an annular ridge part defined in the movable valve object or the seal component such that the movable valve object and the seal component are in contact with each other on an annular seal line.

Method and apparatus for operating a dual valve tank

An improved ball valve for use between dual fuel tanks having a non-circular outlet aperture leading to the fuel line and engine that can allow fuel to pass therethrough even when the ball contained within the valve rests in the opening of the outlet aperture.

Fuel pressure regulator

A fuel pressure regulator includes a housing having a housing bore and a housing inlet; a piston located within the housing bore such that the piston and the housing bore define an accumulation chamber and such that the piston moves between a first piston position where the accumulation chamber is minimized in volume and a second piston position where the accumulation chamber is maximized in volume, the piston having a piston bore with a piston inlet and a piston outlet and a valve seat defined therebetween; a piston spring which biases the piston toward the first piston position; a valve closure which moves between a seated position which prevents fluid communication from the piston inlet to the piston outlet and an unseated position which provides fluid communication from the piston inlet to the piston outlet; and a valve closure spring which biases the valve closure toward the seated position.
