Assembly for a fluid tank comprising a baffle and a fluid transfer line passing through the baffle
An assembly for a fluid tank includes a baffle and a fluid transfer line. The baffle includes a first deflecting surface defining a first part of the tank and a second deflecting surface defining a second part of the tank. The fluid transfer line extends from the first part to the second part and is linked to the baffle by a linkage supported by the assembly. The extension of the fluid transfer line in the first part defines a first portion of the fluid transfer line, and the extension of the fluid transfer line in the second part defines a second portion of the fluid transfer line. The linkage allows for simultaneous rotation of the first portion and the second portion of the fluid transfer line towards a surface including one of the deflecting surfaces.
Liquid level detecting apparatus of tank for vehicle
A liquid level detecting apparatus of a tank for a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a main detecting part that detects the liquid level of the liquid in a tank to output a liquid level detection signal corresponding to the liquid level and an auxiliary floater assembly that has an auxiliary floater provided to float on the liquid surface of the liquid in the tank. A gyro sensor is mounted to the auxiliary floater, and an angle detection signal corresponding to an inclined angle of the tank is output by the gyro sensor. A controller determines a final liquid level value by correcting a liquid level value obtained from the liquid level detection signal based on the angle detection signal.
VEHICLE FUEL-STORAGE TANK WITH ANTI-SLOSH ELEMENTS
A fuel-storage tank for a vehicle includes a body defining an interior volume having a floor and a ceiling and configured to store fuel. The tank further includes an anti-slosh reinforcement column extending between the floor and the ceiling. The anti-slosh reinforcement column has a vertical baffle extending between the floor and the ceiling. The vertical baffle has opposing first and second major faces and edges extending therebetween. A horizontal baffle of the column has upper and lower major faces and edges extending therebetween. The horizontal baffle is rigidly supported on the vertical baffle such that the first and second major faces are substantially perpendicular to the upper and lower major faces.
Fuel tank with an internal support structure
A fuel tank includes a plurality of extending members that extend from an inside surface of a fuel tank main body, a connecting member that is arranged between the plurality of extending members and connects each of these extending members together, and a flexible portion formed on the connecting member.
Fuel container
The invention relates to a fuel container (1) of thermoplastic plastics material having an upper base (2) and a lower base (3) which are supported against each other by means of at least one column-like support element (4), wherein the support element (4) is connected in a positive-locking manner and/or materially engaging manner to a wall (6) of the upper base on the one hand and to a wall (6) of the lower base on the other hand in such a manner that it can absorb tensile forces and/or pressure forces, wherein the support element (4) is constructed in several pieces and the support element is divided longitudinally and comprises at least two segments (8) which complement each other in cross-section and which form a common support face at the end side.
FUEL TANK FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A fuel tank for a motor vehicle, which can be designed as a blow-molded hollow plastics tank, into the interior of which a functional component support is inserted, to which are fastenable functional components, for example a fuel pump, a level indicator or valves, and which is supported on opposite inner sides of the fuel tank wall via at least two strut arrangements spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the support. The functional component support has at least one compensating portion which is positioned between the two strut arrangements and with which a length compensation between the functional component support and the fuel tank takes place in order to dissipate mechanical component stresses.
Support assembly type baffle
A support assembly type baffle is proposed. The baffle may include a baffle body provided in an inner space of a vehicle tank to reduce flow noise, and having a plurality of through holes spaced apart from each other and a fastening portion formed on the inner circumferential surface of the through holes, and a support having a columnar shape, being fitted into the through holes to penetrate the through holes, and having an engagement portion coupled with the fastening portion, formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof, so that the support is fastened to the baffle body in a state of penetrating the baffle body, each of both ends of the support being fixed to two opposite sides of the inner sides of the tank to maintain the shape of the inner space of the tank.
COMBINED FLUID TANK OBTAINED BY MEANS OF USAGE OF CORE IN CONICAL FORM IN ROTATIONAL METHOD AND THE PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
A combined fluid tank used in diesel engine vehicles using AdBlue is provided, wherein the AdBlue is a urea-based chemical and the combined fluid tank is manufactured using a rotation technology from a polymer-based material. The combined fluid tank includes a first chamber for diesel and a second chamber for AdBlue positioned next to the first chamber, a double-walled impermeable chamber constructed between the first chamber and the second chamber, and a baffle located in at least one of the first chamber and the second chamber and the baffle provides sound and vibration damping, and to a production method of the combined fluid tank.
Fluid load stabiliser
A liquid tank including an internal network of cells. The cells are configured such that in use, movement of liquid between adjacent cells of the network of cells is prevented or retarded such that under conditions of liquid movement within the tank, kinetic energy transferred from the liquid to the tank wall is reduced as compared with the case where no cells are present. The tank is useful in the context of road tankers, for example, and can lessen the chance or completely prevent the vehicle from overturning on a corner due to shifting of the liquid load carried.
Trailer for transporting fluid
A trailer that includes a tank with an enclosed interior space configured to hold fluid. The trailer can include a chassis that supports the tank and wheels for moving to desired locations. The tank can include planar opposing sides with rounded corners. One or more baffles can be located within the interior space. The baffles restrict the movement of the fluid within the interior space while the trailer is being moved between locations. This restriction reduces the forces that the moving fluid exerts on the tank which could cause damage to the tank that could result in leaks and failure.
