OPTICAL-EFFECT TOUCHPAD ON A STEERING WHEEL FOR FINGER DETECTION
A system for detecting command gestures made by a finger of a motor vehicle driver, including at least one interface pad, a light source that emits an infrared optical beam toward the interface pad, an imaging sensor, in order to capture images steered by the interface pad away from the driver, the interface pad including a base frame and a movable plate that is movable between a rest position and at least one activation position, the base frame including a first inclined edge and the movable plate including a second inclined edge, the first and second inclined edges forming a zone of contrasts of interest as seen by the imaging sensor, and being separated by a space or brought closer together depending on the position of the movable plate, and generating a contrast effect in the images of the interface pad that are captured by the imaging sensor.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL SWITCH MANIPULATOR
A multifunctional switch manipulator is provided. The manipulator includes a first switch unit, which is curved to be convex at the upper surface thereof, a second switch unit, which is disposed at a first side of the first switch unit and which extends radially in a first direction, and a third switch unit, which is disposed at a second side of the first switch unit and which extends radially in a second direction opposite the first direction. Each of the second and third switch units includes a housing that has an opening and a rotary knob disposed at the housing to be rotatable in a direction in which the opening extends, and at least one surface of the rotary knob is exposed to an outside through the opening.
OPERATING SYSTEM WITH THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY FOR A VEHICLE
An operating system includes a display device having at least two planar display regions, which are arranged one behind the other in a viewing direction of an operator and extend transversely to the viewing direction. The operating system can be used to control a plurality of apparatuses of a vehicle.
OPTICAL-EFFECT TOUCHPAD ON A STEERING WHEEL FOR FINGER DETECTION
A system for detecting command gestures made by a finger of a driver of a motor vehicle, the system including an interface pad, a light source that emits in the infrared toward the pad, an imaging sensor, for capturing images steered by the pad away from the driver, with a base frame and a movable plate, an optical zone of interest seen by the imaging sensor being defined at the interface between the base frame and the plate, the pad including an elastic deformable seal interposed between the base frame and the movable plate, the seal being absorbent at the optical wavelengths of interest, the pad including a reflective strip behind the seal from the point of view of the camera, so that the seal forms a zone that appears dim to the camera, the size of the dim zone depending on the pressure exerted on the plate.
OPTICAL-EFFECT TOUCHPAD ON A STEERING WHEEL FOR FINGER DETECTION
Disclosed is a system for detecting command gestures made by a finger of a driver of a motor vehicle, including an interface pad, a light source that emits an optical beam in the infrared band toward the interface pad, an imaging sensor, for capturing images steered by the interface pad away from the driver, with a base frame and a movable plate, an optical zone of interest seen by the imaging sensor being defined at the interface between the base frame and the movable plate, the interface pad including an elastic deformable seal interposed between the base frame and the movable plate, the deformable seal including a first inclined facet, so that an optical path passing via the first inclined facet is proportionally modified by the deformation of the seal under the effect of the movement of the movable pad.
System for controlling input interface for receiving control command of vehicle and control method thereof
A vehicle includes: an input interface configured to receive a control command for a target module that is a target to be controlled among a plurality of vehicle modules; a sensor portion configured to sense a state of the target module; and a controller configured to change a shape of the input interface based on the sensed state of the target module.
Tilt and turn dial
A control dial for inputting commands to a human-machine interface (HMI). The control dial includes a base dial mounted to a base configured to support the base dial at a neutral position, a first tilted position tilted in a first direction from the neutral position, and a second tilted position tilted in a second direction from the neutral position. The second direction is opposite to the first direction. An outer dial is rotatably mounted to the base dial such that the outer dial is rotatable to enter commands to the HMI at each one of the neutral position, the first tilted position, and the second tilted position.
Method for controlling a motor vehicle comfort system
A method for controlling a motor vehicle comfort system, wherein the control is carried out with the aid of a touch-sensitive display and user interface assigned to the comfort system. In at least one operating mode, the virtual representation of at least one body having a three-dimensional appearance is generated in a first position on the touch-sensitive display and user interface and at least one function that can be executed by the comfort system is represented on the surface of the body, wherein the body is moved after rotating around a horizontal or vertical axis into another position in which at least one other function which can be executed by the comfort system is represented on the visible surface of the body.
In-vehicle display apparatus and controlling program
An in-vehicle display apparatus includes a control unit for executing a selected application feature for controlling a control object device. The selected application feature may be one of a plurality of application features that is selected by a driver by using switches on a portion of a vehicle steering wheel. The in-vehicle display apparatus displays output contents of the application feature in a main display area together with vehicle information. When no operation is performed for controlling the application feature for a predetermined period of time, or when the driver selects an other application feature, the control unit executes the application feature that is currently running in a background, treating it as a background (BG) application feature, and displays a BG icon for a BG application feature associated switch that is operable for an operation of the BG application feature that is currently running in the background.
