ID-based control unit-key fob pairing
A method for pairing a key fob with a control unit is provided. The key fob executes an ID authenticated key agreement protocol with a pairing device based on a key fob identification to authenticate one another and to generate a first encryption key. The pairing device encrypts a control unit identification using the first encryption key. The key fob receives the encrypted control unit identification transmitted from the pairing device. The key fob then executes an ID authenticated key agreement protocol with the control unit based on the control unit identification to authenticate one another and to generate a second encryption key. The key fob then receives an operational key transmitted from the control unit that is encrypted with the second encryption key.
Display device for displaying virtual images
A display device is provided. The display device includes a plurality of diffractive optical elements each configured to emit light guided in a light guide plate to a user. Virtual images by the light are observed by the user at two or more different depths according to the plurality diffractive elements.
CAMERA System FOR USE ON VEHICLE
The present invention is a single camera or multiple cameras on telescoping pole that can be mounted on top surface of vehicles such as automobiles, trucks, buses, trains, airplanes, toys etc. For easier explanation of the invention, focus is given on the application of the camera system on automobiles (cars). Four cameras mounted in different directions on the pole give wider field of view for safe operation of the vehicle. The camera system also includes a radar. The telescoping pole helps to raise the cameras unit with radar(LDAR) above the top surface of the vehicle. The first camera points to the front direction of the car, the second camera points to the rear direction of the car, the third camera points to a blind spot on the left side of the car and the fourth camera points to a blind spot on the right side the car. The inventions can be easily modified to a single or dual camera on top of pole for a cheaper alternative camera system, first camera can be mounted on the pole to show front view and the second camera may be mounted on the pole to show the rear view. The system can also keep cameras that point to the blind spots and ignore cameras facing the front and rear views.
Multi-color illumination device
Multi-color illumination devices that can be used in various indicator-related or ambient lighting applications, particularly for vehicles. In accordance with one embodiment, the multi-color illumination device includes a light guide having a first end and a second end, a first light source located adjacent the first end of the light guide, and a second light source located adjacent the second end of the light guide. The multi-color illumination device is configured for attachment to a controller configured to illuminate the first light source, the second light source, or both the first light source and the second light source in accordance with one or more operation parameters to provide a status indication.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DISPLAY DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A method of operating a display device for a motor vehicle having a plurality of display areas includes providing a plurality of non-contact input operations where a first non-contact input operation of a user is detected and verified by a second non-contact input operation of the user in order to select at least one display element on a first display area, and at least one third non-contact input operation of the user is detected.
MIRROR ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A mirror assembly for a vehicle may be a multi-mode electronic mirror. The mirror assembly may include an active polarizer. The active polarizer may be an active absorptive polarizer. A reflective polarizer may be disposed adjacent to the active polarizer and configured to reflect a first polarization component of light back through the active polarizer. A mirror element may be disposed adjacent to the reflective polarizer and opposite of the active polarizer. The reflective polarizer may be secured to the mirror element. The mirror element may be a partially reflective mirror. A display may be disposed adjacent to the mirror element and distal to the active polarizer.
VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT
A vehicle interior component providing a user interface for an occupant is disclosed. The component may comprise a base; a cover comprising a surface; an intermediate layer comprising a foam material; and a sensor to detect an electrical signal in response to input at the user interface, contact at the surface of the cover, or compression of the foam material. The foam material may comprise electrical properties, conductivity, resistance, compression-responsive electrical properties, or variation in voltage. The foam material may comprise an additive, an additive material, a conductive material, a conductive additive, conductive particles, carbon particles, carbon black particles, carbon dust, carbon particles in a substrate, or carbon particles interspersed with a non-conductive substrate. The foam material may comprise foam with conductive particles, carbon foam, carbon additive foam, polyurethane foam, or polyurethane with carbon particles. The cover may comprise a non-conductive material, leather, vinyl, textile, or fabric.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND MESSAGE TRANSMISSION METHOD
A display device includes a light source irradiating excitation light and a window glass for a vehicle, such as a windshield, capable of emitting visible light through incident radiation of the excitation light, and allows the window glass for a vehicle to emit the light so as to display a message toward an outside of the vehicle by irradiation with the excitation light.
Cockpit for a two-wheeled vehicle
A cockpit for a two-wheeled vehicle has a base body, on which a display and a steering handle are attached. The base body is pivotably mounted at a bodywork of the two-wheeled vehicle.
Display device for vehicle
A display device for a vehicle includes a display portion that displays, toward at least one of an exterior or an interior of the vehicle, driving control information, the driving control information including at least one of first information, expressing how driving of the vehicle is being controlled, or second information, originating at the vehicle and being able to affect a traveling state of the vehicle.
