System and methods for controlling a vehicular infotainment system
An infotainment computer device for use in controlling an infotainment system in a vehicle is provided. The infotainment computer device includes at least one processor communicatively coupled to at least one memory device and a display device communicatively coupled to the at least one processor. The infotainment computer device is programmed to display an active page and a toolbar. The active page includes a plurality of buttons and the toolbar includes a shortcut area including at least one shortcut button. The infotainment computer device is also programmed to receive a first input requesting access to a customization mode, retrieve a current speed of the vehicle, activate the customization mode if the current speed of the vehicle is zero, receive a second input indicating a desired change to at least one of the active page and the toolbar, and change the display based on the desired change.
Screen for a free and a restricted viewing mode
A screen with a transmissive image generator with pixels which is operable in at least two operating modes, B1 for a free viewing mode and B2 for a restricted viewing mode, and with an illuminating apparatus comprising a backlight that has a planar extension and radiates light in a restricted angular range, a plate-shaped light guide arranged in front of the backlight and provided with outcoupling elements on one of the large surfaces and/or within its volume, the light guide being transparent to at least 70% of the light emitted by the backlight; and light sources arranged laterally at edges of the light guide. In mode B2, the backlight is switched on and the light sources are switched off, and in mode B1 at least the light sources are switched on. In interaction with the transmissive image generator the illuminating apparatus constitutes an advantageous screen permitting the operating modes.
Processing method, program, processing apparatus, and detection system
A processing method for a processing apparatus is disclosed. The processing method causes a computer of the processing apparatus to perform a process. The process includes detecting a position and a sleep state of a passenger inside a vehicle on a basis of information indicating a state of space including seats of the vehicle. The information is obtained from a sensor provided inside the vehicle. The process also includes notifying an operator of the vehicle of the detected position and the detected sleep state of the passenger. Further, the process also includes transmitting, upon detecting an operation, the operation being performed by the operator of the vehicle in response to the notifying, for controlling a device near the detected position of the passenger, a control command corresponding to the operation to the device.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING CONTEXTUAL CONTENT FOR AN END-TO-END SEAMLESS EXPERIENCE DURING AN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE TRIP
An approach is provided for presenting contextual content for an end-to-end seamless experience during an autonomous vehicle trip. The approach, for example, involves retrieving content related to at least one context associated with a destination of a vehicle. The approach also involves adapting the content to one or more presentation devices in the vehicle. The approach further involves initiating a presentation of the adapted content on the one or more presentation devices to provide a simulation of the at least one context associated with the destination as the vehicle travels towards the destination.
AGENT DEVICE, METHOD OF CONTROLLING AGENT DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An agent device includes: an agent functional unit configured to provide a service including an output of a response to a voice to an outputter in response to a speech of an occupant of a vehicle; and a display controller configured to cause a display provided in the vehicle to display an animation regarding an agent corresponding to the agent functional unit. The display controller moves the animation between a first display area included in the display and a second display area of which a position is different from a position of the first display area in the vehicle in response to an instruction from the occupant.
Vehicle and method for controlling the vehicle
A vehicle includes a display for displaying a keypad to receive a command through a touch gesture of a user, and a controller for determining an operable area for the user on the display based on a user's shoulder height and arm length, and for controlling the display to display the keypad in the operable area.
Contextual autonomous vehicle support through speech interaction
An autonomous vehicle including a sensor system that outputs a sensor signal indicative of a condition of the autonomous vehicle. The vehicle also includes a communication system including a speaker. Based upon a profile of the passenger, the autonomous vehicle can determine that support is to be provided audibly to the passenger when the support is provided to the passenger. Moreover, the autonomous vehicle can detect occurrence of an event that has been identified as potentially causing discomfort to the passenger based upon the sensor signal output by the sensor system. Responsive to detecting the occurrence of the event, and in accordance with the profile of the passenger, the autonomous vehicle can cause the speaker to output an audible support message. Content of the audible support message is based on the detected event, and the audible support message solicits feedback from the passenger of the autonomous vehicle.
Method for Controlling Vehicle Functions
A method for controlling vehicle functions to increase the well-being and/or to increase the attention of at least one vehicle user in a vehicle. A number of vehicle functions are activated when at least one specific user menu is selected. Here, a lead function assigned to the user menu from the number of vehicle functions is predetermined in each case and the time and content processes of the other vehicle functions assigned to the user menu are coordinated with respect to the lead function.
Information presentation device and information presentation method
An information presentation device, mounted on a vehicle for which automatic evacuation control functions when it is difficult for a driver to continue driving the vehicle, and presenting information to an occupant of the vehicle except the driver by a display in a display area that is visually recognizable by the occupant, includes: an operation information acquisition unit that acquires operation information of the automatic evacuation control; and a display generation unit that generates an occupant notification display that is displayed in the display area to notify information relating to the automatic evacuation control when the automatic evacuation control is in operation. The occupant notification display includes: an explanatory image that shows an explanation of a process executed currently; and a progress image that indicates a degree of progress in the automatic evacuation control.
