An over-the-air (OTA) update apparatus for a vehicle may include an update management device for generating mode information about an OTA update of the vehicle, an update execution device for performing OTA updates of one or more controllers included in the vehicle based on the generated mode information, and a battery charging control device for controlling charging of a low-voltage battery of the vehicle based on the generated mode information.

The present disclosure relates to methods and associated systems for operating a battery exchange station. The present method includes (1) receiving a ratio associated with a plurality of vehicles served by the battery exchange station; and (2) based on the ratio, storing different sets of information in memories associated with the batteries respectively, in accordance with received ratio.

A passenger compartment which has a first connection device, by which the passenger compartment can be coupled to an aircraft, and a second connection device, by which the passenger compartment can be coupled to a land vehicle. The passenger compartment has an electrical circuit with an electrical energy storage. The electrical circuit of the passenger compartment has a coupling device by which electrical energy can be input from the electrical energy storage into an electrical circuit of the aircraft. A vehicle-mounted relay apparatus includes a control unit that controls relay of messages, whereby the control unit, when relaying an update program obtained from an external server to a vehicle-mounted ECU to be updated, relays the update program in a plurality of relay modes to be updated, the plurality of relay modes includes a first relay mode in which relay of a message between vehicle-mounted ECUs other than the vehicle-mounted ECU to be updated is prohibited and a second relay mode in which relay of a message between vehicle-mounted ECUs other than the vehicle-mounted ECU to be updated and a vehicle-mounted ECU related to a charge control apparatus is prohibited, and the control unit selects the first relay mode or the second relay mode based on a predetermined condition.

An onboard update apparatus including a control unit that controls processing for updating a program of an onboard ECU, wherein the onboard update apparatus is communicatively connected to an external server via a plurality of communication paths; the plurality of communication paths include a communication path via a charging control apparatus that controls charging of the vehicle by a charging apparatus outside of the vehicle capable of communication with the external server, and a communication path via an outside-vehicle communication apparatus installed in the vehicle and capable of communication with the external server; the control unit selects one communication path from among the plurality of communication paths; and an update program is acquired from the external server via the communication path selected.
