The slotted guiding member or the guiding element is provided on a blocking element of a blocking device of the vehicle seat. The blocking element with the slotted guiding member or with the guiding element can be displaced under the action of acceleration forces which occur in the event of a crash relative to the base.

A change or adjustment of a volume of the fluid bladder may change or adjust the support provided to said suspension portion.

The adjusting rings can be rotated relative to one another in order to pivot the seat selectively about the longitudinal axis, the transverse axis, and the height axis.
