A vehicle seat includes right and left side frames 10, and an elastic member (cushion spring 20) run between the right and left side frames 10. The right and left side frames 10 include side walls 11 disposed opposite to each other in a lateral direction, and flange portions (upper flange portions 12) respectively extending laterally inward from the side walls 11, and the elastic member is attached to the flange portions.

Vehicle seat system

In a vehicle seat system, lowering of a seat cushion further toward a vehicle lower side than a lowerable limit value corresponding to a recline angle of a seatback is restricted by a control device in cases in which the physical build of an occupant is smaller than a predetermined value. This enables a reduction in the ability to restrain the body of the occupant using a webbing to be suppressed.

An easy entrance/exit system for a vehicle includes a vehicle seat, a pad, a pad-side magnetic device, and a seat-side magnet. The vehicle seat includes a seat base. The pad is supported atop the seat base for swiveling about a pivot point. The pad-side magnetic device is coupled to the pad at the pivot point. The seat-side magnet is within the seat base at the pivot point. The seat-side magnet is configured to apply a magnetic field to the pad-side magnetic device to govern swiveling of the pad about the pivot point.

A vehicle seat (1) is provided with a cushion frame (5) that can be moved up and down by means of a link mechanism (6). To assist the upward movement of the cushion frame (5), a torsion bar (14) is disposed in a connection pipe (12) having both ends secured to a pair of left and right rear links (11, 11). A position holding member (24) holds the torsion bar (14) and is supported by the connection pipe (12), whereby the positional shift of the axis of the torsion bar (14) is suppressed. The position holding member (24) engages an extension portion (16) extending perpendicular to the shaft portion (15), and thus, does not rotate around the axis relative to the torsion bar (14). Therefore, in the position holding member (24), portions requiring reinforcement against a transverse force from the torsion bar (14) are limited a narrow range, and the position holding member (24) can be reduced in size and weight.

Low profile adjustable vehicle seat mount assembly

A vehicle seat mounting system includes a seat mount plate and a vehicle mount plate. A vertically operable scissor linkage assembly is disposed between the seat mount plate and the vehicle mount plate and is oriented such that respective opposing ends of a first scissor arm and a second scissor arm are each secured to a respective one of the seat mount plate and the vehicle mount plate. A spring assembly is disposed between the seat mount plate and the vehicle mount plate and is oriented to cooperate with the scissor linkage assembly to resist translation between the vehicle mount plate and the seat mount plate. An adjuster assembly cooperates with the spring assembly and is operable to manipulate the proportion of the spring assembly that is available to be engaged to resist motion of the mounting system.

TORSION SPRING BUSHING

A vehicle seating assembly is provided which includes a seat back and a seat base operably connected to the seat back. The seat base has a seat base frame that includes a torsion tube extending laterally between at least two side members. A height adjustment mechanism is disposed through at least one of the side members. A torsion spring extends within the torsion tube and is in contact with at least two side members. A torsion spring bushing is positioned around the torsion spring and extends into the torsion tube. The torsion spring bushing defines a brush configured to contact the torsion tube and a retaining ring positioned around the torsion tube. The retaining ring is in contact with at least one side member.
