An insert for repositioning at least one of the harness straps of a child safety seat in order to accommodate an occupant smaller than the harness is configured to accommodate, wherein the insert is adapted to locate between the child safety seat and the occupant and includes a pair of waist strap guides, each waist strap guide configured to allow a waist strap of the harness to extend through and exit the waist strap guide at a position narrower than where the waist strap exits the child safety seat.

A child safety seat comprising a base and a body rotatably connected to the base for providing a seating space. The base is rotatably connected to the body via a rotating shaft. The child safety seat further comprises an electrical pivoting structure including a base pivoting member for electrically connecting to a base electrical device in the base, and a body pivoting member for electrically connecting to a body electrical device in the body. The base pivoting member is coupled to the base and has a base conductive part. The body pivoting member is coupled to the body and has a body conductive part. The base conductive part and the body conductive part are rotatably and electrically connected in the rotating shaft. A child safety seat includes a backrest; a headrest formed with a shoulder belt hole; and a shoulder belt extending through the shoulder belt holes, wherein a back surface of the headrest has a first connector and a front surface of the backrest has a second connector, and the first connector is attached to the second connector in a height adjustable manner. The child safety seat may synchronously adjust the height of the shoulder belt while adjusting the height of the headrest.

Provided are methods for automatically adjusting a vehicle seating area based on the characteristics of a passenger. In an example method, a seat adjustment system of a vehicle receives sensor data representing at least one measurement of a user exterior to the vehicle, determines at least one characteristic of the based on the sensor data, determines at least one modification to a seating area of the vehicle based on the at least one characteristic of the user, and causes the seating area to be adjusted in accordance with the at least one modification. Systems and computer program products are also provided.

A child restraint base adapted for a child restraint carrier includes a base body for mounting the child restraint carrier, a first panel component, a second panel component, an anchor belt and a third panel component. The first panel component and the second panel component are disposed on the base body and spaced from each other. A first through slot is formed between the first panel component and the base body. A second through slot is formed between the second panel component and the base body. The anchor belt passes through the first through slot and the second through slot and is slidable between an in-use position and a stored position. The third panel component is disposed between the first panel component and the second panel component and pivotable between an opened position and a closed position for tensioning the anchor belt to remove slack from the anchor belt.
