Child Transportation System
A child transportation system is disclosed. The system includes a seating component and various other modules. The system can check whether a seating component is located in a vehicle, whether the seating component is a proper component given the weight and height of the child in the seat, that the seating component is properly secured in the vehicle, and that the system is operating correctly. The system can monitor various conditions of the seat and the environment, and can provide alarms to users when cheks are not completed or dangerous environmental conditions are present, or when a child is left behind in a vehicle.
Seatbelt and child seat anchor based occupancy detection system
The present invention is directed to apparatus for detecting a child left unattended in a car seat as well as the status of the connection between the car seat and the vehicle. The apparatus includes a sensor module and a processor. The sensor module including a sensor for measuring force data associated with the coupling between car seat and a vehicle. The processor receives and analyzes the sensor data to determine the status of the child/child seat, and then communicates status data to a caretaker. Counter-measure instructions can also be provided to the vehicle for altering the vehicle state/environment.
SEATBELT AND CHILD SEAT ANCHOR BASED OCCUPANCY DETECTION SYSTEM

Impact handling and ultrasound alerting methods
Systems and methods of impact handling and ultrasound alerting are provided. Systems comprise an ultrasound transmitter is configured to transmit ultrasound signals at specified frequencies, a controller associated with a vehicle seat and configured to generate the ultrasound signals with respect to seat statuses and control the transmitter accordingly, and an application installable on a user's communication device to be associated with a device's audio receiver. The seat may comprise a dynamic part mounted on a static part and energy absorbing element(s) configured to restrain a movement of the dynamic part relative to the static part upon impact, via connection(s) between the static and dynamic parts that have static element(s) attached to the static part and dynamic element(s) attached to the dynamic part.
OPTIMIZED ELECTRODE SHAPE FOR CAPACITIVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM
A capacitive sensor member of a seat occupant classification device for use in seats, in particular in vehicle seats. The capacitive sensor member includes at least one electrically conductive sense electrode that has an optimized shape for use in vehicle seats equipped with child restraint system anchorages. A capacitive seat occupant classification system is provided that includes the capacitive sensor member.
Child safety seat anchor assembly
The problem of a front seat occupant moving the front seatback so far so as to interfere with the proper positioning of a rear-facing child safety seat or to touch a child's legs while sitting in a front-facing child safety seat is solved by transforming the lower anchor into a segment of an electrical circuit with a normally open switch that is forced to the closed position when a child safety seat attachment system has attached to the lower anchor and the vehicle prevents the front seat from moving beyond a present distance toward the rear seat. The closing of the electrical circuit can be used to supply an input signal to a controller in the vehicle programmed to notify the operator that a child safety seat has been attached to prevent the front seat from moving beyond a fixed distance from the rear seat.

CHILD CAR SEAT WITH SYSTEM FOR DOUBLE-THRESHOLD TRIGGERING OF ACTIVE PROTECTION MEANS
A child car set includes an accident-detection system and a child-protection system that is active during a situation detected by the accident-detection system. The child car seat includes a system for triggering the child-protection system based on acceleration measurement.
Child restraint system with user interface
A child seat or child restraining system for securing a child to a vehicle seat, and method of installing the car seat are provided. The child seat, which is configured to be secured to a seat of a vehicle, includes: a seat base secured to the seat of the vehicle; a child receiving portion supported by the seat base; and a belt tensioning system incorporated into the seat base. The belt tensioning system is configured to receive a belt that couples the seat base to the seat of the vehicle. The child seat also includes a controller operatively connected to the belt tensioning system and configured to automatically actuate the belt tensioning system. The belt tensioning system may be configured to drive the at least one belt in a pay-in direction to apply tension to the at least one belt.
Child car seat having active protection means
The present disclosure concerns a child car seat comprising an active protection system and a system for triggering the active protection system when needed.
