METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EDITING A DIGITAL MAP OF A TRANSPORT VEHICLE FOR TRANSPORTING VEHICLES
20180012519 · 2018-01-11 ·

A digital map of a transport vehicle for transporting vehicles includes one or more digital reference locations that are respectively associated with real reference locations of the transport vehicle. A method includes: ascertaining respective reference coordinates of the real reference locations relative to a reference coordinate system, so that the ascertained reference coordinates are associated with the corresponding digital reference locations; deriving respective coordinates of further digital locations of the digital map from the reference coordinates of the reference locations based on a derivation protocol, so that coordinates relative to the reference coordinate system are respectively associated with the further digital locations, so that an edited digital map of the transport vehicle is created, in which map coordinates relative to the reference coordinate system are associated with the digital locations.

Autonomous ground surface treatment system and method of operation of such a system

An autonomous ground maintenance system comprising a vehicle comprising a chassis supported upon a ground surface by ground support members, a container supported by the chassis, the container defining a discharge outlet operable to disperse treating material held within the container to a target area of the ground surface, a gate adapted to selectively open and close the discharge outlet, a sensor adapted to identify the target area, and an electronic controller supported by the chassis, the controller being in communication with the sensor and the gate. The controller is adapted to position the chassis at a location proximate the target area such that the discharge outlet is capable of delivering the treating material to the target area and energize the gate to open the discharge outlet.

AGRICULTURAL SUPPORT SYSTEM

An agricultural support system includes a first communication device located in or on a tractor to transmit information, and a second communication device located in or on a transport vehicle to acquire the information transmitted from the first communication device. The transport vehicle is capable of transporting the tractor. The agricultural support system further includes a position sensor in or on the working machine to detect a position of the working machine. The first communication device is operable to transmit the position detected by the position sensor to the second communication device as the information. The second communication device is operable to receive the position transmitted from the first communication device.

A trailer system for a vehicle includes a trailer having a trailer body, wheels, and a trailer tongue for hitching the trailer to a towing vehicle. A rear end of the trailer body is pivotally and detachably attachable at a rear of the vehicle. When attached at the rear of the vehicle, the trailer is pivotable between a stowed position, where the trailer is vertically oriented along the rear of the vehicle, and a lowered position, where the trailer is lowered such that the wheels are at the ground. When attached at the rear of the vehicle and in the stowed position, the front end of the trailer body is at or near an upper region of the vehicle. When attached and in the lowered position, the trailer functions to allow items to be unloaded from the vehicle and onto the trailer body.
