System for detecting surrounding conditions of moving body
This system for detecting the surrounding conditions of a moving body forcibly changes the state of at least one of a plurality of lighting devices (change from an unlit state to a lighting state or a blinking state, change in the emission color, or change in the luminance) installed inside the moving body, if an object to which attention must be paid during traveling of the moving body is detected in the surroundings of the moving body.

Method for Detecting Lost Image Information, Control Apparatus for Carrying Out a Method of this Kind, Detection Device Having a Control Apparatus of this Kind and Motor Vehicle Having a Detection Device of this Kind
A method for detecting lost image information via a lighting device and an optical sensor. The lighting device and the optical sensor are controlled so as to be chronologically aligned with each other. A visible spacing region in an observation region of the optical sensor is determined from the chronological alignment of the control of the lighting device and the optical sensor. A recording of the observation region with the optical sensor is generated via the aligned control. Image information is identified in the recording in regions outside of the spacing region visible in the image, so as to make the identified image information accessible.

Illumination device and method of manufacturing the same
To protect observer's eyes while forming a clear illumination pattern on a desired region to be illuminated. An illumination device includes a light source that emits coherent light, a collimating optical system that enlarges and collimates a beam diameter of the coherent light emitted from the light source, and a diffractive optical element that diffracts the coherent light collimated by the collimating optical system into a predetermined diffusion angle space. The diffractive optical element has a plurality of element diffractive optical portions and has a function to illuminate the region to be illuminated defined at a predetermined position and having predetermined size and shape to form the desired illumination pattern. Each of the plurality of element diffractive optical portions has a function to illuminate at least a part of the region to be illuminated, and diffractive characteristics of the element diffractive optical portions are different from each other.
Systems and methods for nighttime delivery mobile robot with hybrid infrared and flash lighting
A nighttime delivery system is configured to provide delivery of packages during night hours, in low or no-light conditions using a multi-mode autonomous and remotely controllable delivery robot. The system involves the use of a baseline lighting system onboard the robot chassis, with variable light intensity from single flash and floodlighting, to thermal imaging using infrared cameras. The lighting system changes according to various environmental factors, and may utilize multi-mode lighting techniques to capture single-shot images with a flash light source to aid in the robot's perception when the vehicle is unable to navigate using infrared (IR) images.
