The lighting device is configured to execute first control of controlling an irradiation area in accordance with a traveling direction of a vehicle, second control of controlling the irradiation area so that a degree of irradiation of light to a position of an object is reduced, and third control of controlling the irradiation area so that the degree of irradiation of the light to a position of a reflection object is reduced. The lighting device selects, as a final target value, a minimum value of a target value of an emission intensity for the first control, a target value of an emission intensity for the second control, and a target value of an emission intensity for the third control.
Light projection method for a moving body scanning light from a light source and controlling a mirror portion
A light projection method for a moving body which is performed by a processor of the moving body is provided. The method comprises: irradiating light from a light source of the moving body; scanning the light irradiated from the light source with an angle range that is formed by swing a mirror portion of an optical scanner of the moving body; acquiring change information of the angle range at which the mirror portion swings; changing the angle range at which the mirror portion swings based on the acquired change information; and changing an irradiation range of the light irradiated from the light source.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A MOTOR VEHICLE LIGHTING SYSTEM
A method for controlling a lighting system of a host motor vehicle with a plurality of selectively controllable elementary light sources, each able to emit an elementary light beam with the vertical angular opening of which is less than 1°. The method includes detecting a target object by a sensor system. Determining a vertical angle between a given point of the sensor system of the host vehicle and a detected point of the target object. Determining, from the vertical angle, a lower angle and an upper angle between a given point of the lighting system and, respectively, an upper cut-off and a lower cut-off intended to together vertically border the target object. Controlling the elementary light sources to emit a pixelated road light beam, as a function of the lower and upper angles, to generate, in the light beam, a dark area extending substantially between the upper and lower cut-offs.
VEHICLE LAMP
A vehicle lamp includes: a light source; an optical member configured to form a predetermined light distribution pattern by radiating light; and a controller configured to adjust the predetermined light distribution pattern so as to include a first non-irradiation range in which an object outside a vehicle is not irradiated with the light when the object is detected. The controller is configured to define the first non-irradiation range based on a case where a vehicle body is in a straight traveling state. When the vehicle body is in a cornering state, the controller is configured to acquire height information of the object in accordance with a tilting state of the vehicle body, define a second non-irradiation range narrower than the first non-irradiation range based on the height information, and adjust the predetermined light distribution pattern so as to include the second non-irradiation range instead of the first non-irradiation range.
VEHICLE LAMP
Disclosed is a vehicle lamp including a pair of lamp modules configured to form a pair of left and right light distribution patterns by irradiation light therefrom. Each lamp module includes a first lamp unit that uses a light emitting diode as a light source and a second lamp unit that uses a laser diode as a light source, a pair of first light distribution patterns is formed by irradiation light from the first lamp unit, and a pair of second light distribution patterns, which is smaller and brighter than the first light distribution patterns, is formed by irradiation light from the second lamp unit. The first light distribution patterns are formed with a predetermined distance therebetween in a left-and-right direction, the second light distribution patterns are formed to partially overlap each other between the pair of first light distribution patterns and to partially overlap the first light distribution patterns.
HEADLAMP DEVICE
A headlamp device includes a headlamp, an object detector, and a controller. The headlamp is mounted on a vehicle and includes a light emitting unit composed of multiple light emitting cells. The object detector detects an object around the vehicle and generates an object detection signal including object coordinates corresponding to a location of the detected object. The controller controls light of the headlamp based on information on the object coordinates. The controller may control the light emitting unit such that at least some light emitting cells are turned off according to an object detection signal. Each of multiple light emitting units includes a circuit board, the multiple light emitting cells separated from each other on the circuit board, a molding member formed between the light emitting structures, and a protective member formed on the molding member to surround sides of the multiple wavelength conversion members while filling a gap between the multiple wavelength conversion members.
