SOLUTION FOR PROVIDING END WALL ON METAL TRIM PROFILE
A method including providing a trim profile, the trim profile including a bend extending in the longitudinal direction of the trim profile, wherein the bend is arranged between side edges extending in the longitudinal direction, and wherein the bend shapes an interior surface and an exterior surface of the trim profile, fixating a first part of the trim profile including the bend in a first fixation arrangement, and arranging and fixating a second part of the trim profile in a second fixation arrangement. A deep drawing operation providing a relative displacement between a stamping tool and at least one of the fixation arrangements in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction so that the stamping tool moves into a working space, wherein the deep drawing operation forces a wall material of the trim profile into the working space to provide an end wall part on the trim profile.
VEHICLE TRIM PANEL HAVING A SWITCHING FUNCTION
Vehicle trim panel having a switching function comprising a decorative front panel which conceals a switching device having switching areas defined on the decorative front panel for controlling vehicle functions and a lighting device for backlighting said switching areas. Particularly the switching device comprises a sensor foil comprising a light transmitting film wherein several independent sensing areas are configured and an elastic rubber-like portion configured to be compressed between the back side of the decorative front panel and the front side of the light guide in order to keep the sensor foil in tight contact free of air-gaps with the back side of the decorative front panel. The elastic rubber-like portion comprises first attaching means to tightly and removably attach the sensor foil to either the light guide or to the decorative front panel.
VEHICLE
A vehicle described in the present specification is configured such that a door includes an outer panel, a door trim, window glass configured to be manually raised and lowered, a belt molding, and a knob. The window glass is supported movably between an upper limit position at which the window glass closes an opening of a window frame and a lower limit position at which the window glass opens the opening of the window frame. The knob is configured to be gripped by a user who operates the window glass. The door trim includes a recess configured to face the knob and form a space when the window glass is placed at the lower limit position, the space being formed to receive a hand of the user, the hand gripping the knob.
VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a floor panel, a battery module, an exhaust duct, and a carpet. The battery module is disposed inside a vehicle interior. The exhaust duct is provided on the floor panel to discharge air output from the battery module through the exhaust duct. The carpet is disposed on the floor panel so as to cover the exhaust duct. The carpet has ventilation holes such that air discharged from the exhaust duct is to pass through a space between the floor panel and the carpet and to be discharged into the vehicle interior through ventilation holes.
Vehicle retrofit providing extended interior width
An accessory body panel includes a recessed feature. The body panel is mounted at the exterior surface of the vehicle body over an opening or hole formed in the vehicle body. The opening can correspond to an OEM window cut-out. The mounted body panel creates an indentation present at the interior side of the vehicle body, which effectively extends the available interior space in the lateral or transverse direction.
LATERALLY TRANSLATING SEAT PEDESTAL
A vehicle includes a vehicle interior having opposed first and second sides and a support surface disposed therebetween. A track system is laterally disposed on the support surface. A seat pedestal includes a base portion supported on the track system for lateral movement within the vehicle interior. The seat pedestal further includes a seat portion rotatably supported on the base portion. A first interior trim member includes an outer surface facing inwardly into the vehicle interior in a lateral direction. The first interior trim member includes a seatback integrated into the outer surface thereof. A second interior trim member includes an outer surface facing inwardly into the vehicle interior in a rearward direction. The second interior trim member includes a seatback integrated into the outer surface thereof.
