Component Insulation Systems
An insulation system for a vehicle includes a vehicle component that operates at an operating temperature that is higher than an initial temperature, an insulation member thermally coupled to the vehicle component and thermally coupled to an ambient medium, the insulation member including an enclosed chamber, the enclosed chamber including a chamber wall that defines an interior volume, and carbon dioxide positioned within the interior volume of the enclosed chamber, where the chamber wall prevents flow of the carbon dioxide out of the enclosed chamber.
VEHICLE
A vehicle includes: an electric device; a pair of left front seat and right front seat; and a center console which is disposed between the left front seat and the right front seat, and which accommodates the electric device. A sheet-like soundproofing member is disposed between an upper surface of the electric device and the center console.
Exhaust device and vehicle for travel on uneven terrains
An exhaust device incorporated in a vehicle for travel on uneven terrains. The exhaust device includes an air blowing device and an exhaust pipe through which exhaust gas generated in a prime mover is directed out of the vehicle. The exhaust pipe includes an upstream pipe, a downstream pipe, and a joint device joining the upstream pipe to the downstream pipe in a manner permitting the upstream pipe to move relative to the downstream pipe, the air blowing device being disposed to blow cooling air toward the joint device.
Fastening device for a heat shield and method to produce the same
A heat shield for shielding of hot areas of a combustion engine. The heat shield has at least one metal sheet layer with a first and a second surface. The at least one metal sheet layer has at least one passage opening for the passage of a fastening element. The layer also has a sleeve which passes through the passage opening. The heat shield further has a decoupling element from flexible material arranged between a circumferential edge of the passage opening and the sleeve. The decoupling element and the sleeve each have a) an annular shank area, which penetrates the passage opening, b) a first collar, which on the first surface extends radially outward relative to the circumferential edge of the passage opening, and c) a second collar, which extends adjacent to the second surface radially outward relative to the circumferential edge of the passage opening.
Insulator
According to the present invention, a panel-shaped first metal body (2) comprises a space-forming part (2a) and an overlap part (2b) that is continuous with the space-forming part (2a). A panel-shaped second metal body (4) comprises a space-forming part (4a) and an overlap part (4b) that is continuous with space-forming part (4a). When the first metal body (2) and the second metal body (4) have been assembled, a housing space layer (S1) that is for housing a sheet-shaped glass wool material 3 is formed between the space-forming parts (2a, 4a), and the overlap parts (2b, 4b) overlap. A solid joining part (W1) that connects the overlap parts (2b, 4b) is formed between the overlap parts (2b, 4b).
NOISE SHIELD ARRANGEMENT COMPRISING A THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE ELEMENT
The present disclosure relates to a noise shield arrangement for a vehicle comprising a noise shield structure arranged to, at least partly, encapsulate a sound generating structure of the vehicle, wherein the noise shield structure is formed by an acoustic isolating material and comprises a first surface arranged to face the sound generating structure, and a second, oppositely positioned surface arranged to face away from the sound generating structure, wherein the noise shield arrangement comprises at least one thermally conductive element extending through the noise shield structure between the first surface and the second surface.
High temperature heat shield for a tail gate
A tail gate for a vehicle cargo bed includes a tail gate body having an interior surface disposed towards the vehicle cargo bed and an exterior surface disposed outwards from the vehicle cargo bed; and a heat shield secured to the exterior surface of the tail gate body. At least a portion of the tail gate body is constructed from a first material having a first melting temperature and the heat shield is constructed from a second material having a second melting temperature. The second melting temperature is greater than the first melting temperature.
Heat shield for a motor vehicle
A heat shield for a motor vehicle includes an elongated planar shield body for separating an exhaust pipe and a fuel tank of the motor vehicle, the shield body extending longitudinally along a longitudinal axis between the exhaust pipe and the fuel tank, the shield body having a generally concave surface extending from the axis to first and second vertical walls along first and second edges of the shield body, a forward attachment portion for attaching the shield body to a frame of the motor vehicle longitudinally forward of the fuel tank, a rearward attachment portion for attaching the shield body to the frame of the motor vehicle longitudinally rearward of the fuel tank, and a water escape port in the first vertical wall.
EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT SHIELD
An exhaust gas recirculation heat exchanger for allowing a flow of exhaust gas therethrough and a transfer of heat between the exhaust gas and a heat exchange fluid and a heat shield for shielding heat from exhaust gas flowing from an inlet of an exhaust gas recirculation heat exchanger toward a plurality of conduits disposed downstream from the inlet are provided. The heat shield includes a heat shield body and a plurality of apertures extending through the heat shield body and configured to be aligned with a plurality of conduits of the exhaust gas recirculation heat exchanger in a direction of flow of the exhaust gas through the exhaust gas recirculation heat exchanger.
