CONTROL DEVICE

A control device to be mounted on a vehicle, includes: a board; a control circuit which is provided on the board and is configured to execute a control in a case of a collision of the vehicle; a case in which the board is accommodated; and a bracket that extends from a side surface of the case and is to be fixed to the vehicle with a fastening member, and the bracket includes: a groove portion that extends in an intersection direction intersecting an extending direction of the bracket from the case; and a protrusion that closes a part of the groove portion.

Crash sensor system for determining crash events independent of polarity of satellite sensors

A crash sensor system includes an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU has an accelerometer to measure longitudinal acceleration of the vehicle. Front crash satellite sensors are mounted at the front of the vehicle to detect a front or a rear crash event. When a front or rear crash event occurs, the first accelerometer is utilized to determine if the crash occurred at the front or the rear of the vehicle, regardless of the polarity of the front crash satellite sensors.

Sensing system and glass material for vehicles

A vehicle includes a body of the vehicle and a sensing system coupled to the body. The sensing system includes optical componentry and a glass material, where the glass material at least in part houses the optical componentry and the glass material is at least partially transparent to light at the wavelength of the optical componentry. Further the glass material has mechanical and performance properties that allow the sensing system to be positioned particularly low on the vehicle, at a position that may be of higher risk for damage from debris.

Airbag controller for vehicle

An airbag controller for a vehicle is proposed. In the airbag controller for a vehicle, an integrated plastic housing without a cover is used to fix a PCB, and a separate grounding device connecting the PCB positioned inside the plastic housing to a vehicle body positioned outside the plastic housing is used in the airbag controller to solve a problem of grounding. Accordingly, it is possible to make the airbag controller be slim and the overall size of the airbag controller be compact.

PROTECTIVE GUARD FOR RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE

A guard for a restraints control module includes a corrugated base and right and left corrugated sidewalls. The sidewalls extend above the base and are spaced from a restraints control module secured to the base. The sidewalls diverge from each other in a vertical direction above the base and include alternating furrows and ridges that form the corrugations. The furrows and ridges are connected by rib walls that strengthen the guard against lateral collision forces. A method is disclosed for protecting a restraints control module in a side impact collision. According to the method, in a side impact collision, an object driven into the guard bends the sidewall towards the restraints control module to absorb the impact force applied by the object.

RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY

A bracket and restraints control module assembly attached to the tunnel in the floor of a vehicle. The bracket includes a base plate and an intermediate plate supporting the restraints control module. The intermediate plate defines a plurality of holes and is secured by a limited slip connector assembly that extend through laterally elongated slots defined by the base plate and holes in the intermediate plate, respectively. The connector assembly is tightened to a predetermined level of torque so that the intermediate plate can slide relative to the base plate on upper and lower slide surfaces when a collision force of sufficient magnitude is applied to the bracket and RCM assembly.

Transportation apparatus

A transportation apparatus includes an external detection device configured to detect an object. The external detection device includes: an irradiation surface; and an adjustment portion for adjusting an angle of the irradiation surface, the adjustment portion is adjustable from a hole portion provided in the transportation apparatus, and the hole portion is offset with respect to the adjustment portion and the irradiation surface.

AIRBAG SENSOR ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE

A vehicle body front section structure is provided with a sensor attachment structure to an outside face of a left bumper beam extension. The sensor attachment structure includes a support section provided on the outside face of the left bumper beam extension, and an airbag sensor attached to the support section. The support section deforms and retreats toward the vehicle body rear as a result of compression of the left bumper beam extension during compression of the left bumper beam extension due to an impact load input from the vehicle body front.

Electrical component-attached wire harness for vehicle dashboard and assembly structure of electrical component-attached wire harness

An electrical component-attached wire harness includes a base material disposed in a vehicle, a wire harness disposed along the base material, and at least one electrical component to which an end portion of the wire harness is connected. For example, the at least one electrical component may include an electronic control unit.

VEHICLE STRUCTURE MATERIAL STRENGTHENING SYSTEM AND VEHICLE CONTAINING SAME
20220153219 · 2022-05-19 ·

A vehicle structure material strengthening system and a vehicle containing the same are described. The vehicle structure material strengthening system has at least one collision sensor, a processor, and a power supply. The collision sensor is suitable for being mounted on the vehicle. The processor is electrically connected to the collision sensor for receiving a collision signal from the collision sensor, and determines whether to transmit a power activation signal according to the collision signal. The power supply is electrically connected to the processor and the vehicle. When the collision signal is greater than or equal to a collision threshold, the processor transmits the power activation signal to the power supply, wherein the power supply transmits a circuit to the vehicle according to the power activation signal; or when the collision signal is less than the collision threshold, the processor does not transmit the power activation signal.
