DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A device for a motor vehicle, includes a housing, in which electrical components are arranged, which are supplied with electrical energy across at least one electrical power supply line, which is arranged inside the housing. The housing has at least one impact switch. In the event that a mechanical force acts on the at least one impact switch in excess of a threshold value, the housing is deformed at a position of the at least one impact switch.
Collision protection
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media are provided for collision prevention. In some embodiments, a trajectory of a vehicle with respect to an object can be determined using a trajectory prediction model and sensor data associated with the vehicle and the object. Based on the trajectory, a collision event involving the vehicle and the object can be determined and one or more collision protection devices can be activated.
VEHICULAR COLLISION DETECTION SYSTEM WITH SAFETY FEATURE CONTROL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIVE TO ESTIMATION OF COLLISION SEVERITY
A vehicular safety feature control system includes a camera disposed at a vehicle that views exterior of the equipped vehicle. The vehicular safety feature control system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) for processing image data captured by the camera to detect presence of objects. The ECU, responsive to processing of image data captured by the camera, detects an object on a collision course with the equipped vehicle. The ECU, responsive to detecting the object on the collision course with the equipped vehicle, classifies the detected object. The ECU estimates a mass of the detected object based on the classification. The ECU estimates a kinetic energy of a potential collision and, based on the estimated kinetic energy of the potential collision, estimates a severity of the potential collision. The ECU controls a safety feature of the equipped vehicle based on the estimated severity of the potential collision.
DEVICE FOR DETERMINING ACCIDENT OF PERSONAL MOBILITY, SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING ACCIDENT OF PERSONAL MOBILITY
A device for determining an accident of personal mobility in real time, a system for rapidly identifying and coping with the accident, and a method for determining the accident of the personal mobility are provided. The device includes a sensor device that obtains at least one of an angle between the personal mobility and a ground, an amount of impact on the personal mobility, or a speed of the personal mobility, and a determination device that determines whether the accident of the personal mobility has occurred based on the at least one of the angle, the amount of impact, or the speed.
Self-diagnosing pedestrian protection sensor system for a vehicle
A self-diagnosing sensor system for a vehicle is provided. The vehicle has a bumper with fascia material. The sensor system includes an elongated, deflectable cable disposed in the bumper generally adjacent to the fascia material. A tensioning and sensing unit is coupled to each end of the cable and fixed to the vehicle. Each unit includes a tension sensor electrically connected with an ECU of the vehicle such that the ECU receives signals from the tension sensors regarding tension in the cable, indicative of 1) whether the bumper has been impacted based on deflection of the cable from a sensing position, or 2) whether damage to the cable or a tensioning and sensing unit has occurred.

Safety and comfort restraining device for a vehicle occupant and method for operating said device
A restraining device is provided to improve the safety and comfort of a vehicle occupant. The restraining device has a safety belt and an airbag device arranged on the safety belt, which airbag device has a first airbag, which is arranged on the side of the safety belt facing the vehicle occupant, and a second airbag, which is arranged on the side of the safety belt facing away from the vehicle occupant. The first airbag and/or the second airbag can be filled with air and/or can be emptied. A method for operating the restraining device controls the filling state of the first airbag and of the second airbag in an open-loop and/or closed-loop manner in accordance with the state of the motor vehicle provided with the restraining device.
COLLISION PROTECTION

Based on the trajectory, a collision event involving the vehicle and the object can be determined and one or more collision protection devices can be activated.
Methods and systems for providing alerts of opening doors
Vehicle systems for providing alerts of opening doors are disclosed. A system includes a camera configured to output image data of a vehicle occupant, an external environment sensor configured to output an external environment sensor output signal, one or more processors communicatively coupled to the camera and the external environment sensor, one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, and machine readable instructions stored in the one or more memory modules. The system receives the image data of the vehicle occupant, predicts whether a door of the vehicle is going to be opened based on the image data of the vehicle occupant, determines whether an object is present based on the external environmental sensor output signal, and generates an alert in response to predicting that the door of the vehicle is going to be opened and determining that the object is present.
Sensor protector and vehicle equipped therewith
There is provided a sensor protector including: mounting portions that are mounted to a bracket for fixing a sensor, which is provided at a vehicle inner side of a bumper cover, to a body of a vehicle; a covering portion that is plate-shaped, that extends from lower portions of the mounting portions toward the bumper cover, and that covers a lower portion of the sensor; and a weak portion that is provided at the covering portion and makes the covering portion elastically deformable.
