A method for manufacturing a vehicle, in which, on a production line of a vehicle-manufacturing plant, attachments are mounted on a vehicle body, to each of which an attachment transponder is fastened, which, after the particular attachment is installed in the vehicle, is detected with the aid of an RFID reading device for the purpose of a construction state documentation, a belt retractor of a safety belt assembly being installed as an attachment in a cavity of a vehicle body column formed as a hollow girder on the production line. A belt retractor transponder is assigned to the belt retractor. The belt retractor transponder is not fastened directly to the belt retractor but rather to a belt strap of the belt retractor outside the body column cavity.

Soft close safety belt tongue/latch plate stowage compartment

A vehicle safety belt webbing and tongue/latch plate stowage assembly includes a safety belt webbing retractor disposed in a compartment and a pocket disposed adjacent to the compartment and configured for receiving the safety belt tongue/latch plate therein. The pocket is defined by at least a divider and a door configured for translation between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The closed configuration defines a gap between the wall and the door sufficient for passage therethrough of a safety belt webbing. A damper controls the rate of translation of the door between the open configuration and the closed configuration, providing a soft touch opening/closing feature. The door may be configured for pivoting between the open and closed configurations, or for sliding between the open and closed configurations.

A seat belt device includes a belt reel around which webbing is wound, a winding spring that rotationally biases the belt reel in a winding direction, a motor that is configured to transmit a driving force to the belt reel, a clutch that is interposed between the motor and the belt reel, and which performs connection/disconnection of the motor and the belt reel, a webbing speed detection unit that detects the winding speed of the webbing, a fastened/released state detection unit that detects a fastened state and a released state of the webbing, a basic winding control unit that drives the motor in the winding direction in a rotating manner and puts the clutch into a connected state, and a speed increase correction unit that increases the speed of the motor with respect to the speed of the motor obtained by the control of the basic winding control unit.

Vehicle seat with storable harness

A stowable harness system for a vehicle seat is provided. The vehicle seat has a storage area under a horizontal seat portion that pivots to provide access. The harness system includes a belt system for a child restraint. During use, the harness system is disposed on the vehicles seat. When stowed, the harness system is contained in the storage area.

Three-point safety belt and vehicle having same

A three-point safety belt includes a belt body, a winder, a shoulder belt guide ring, and a lock tongue. The winder and the shoulder belt guide ring are fixed onto a vehicle body. The winder is located below the shoulder belt guide ring. The lock tongue is disposed on the belt body. The lock tongue divides the belt body into a shoulder belt and a waist belt. The shoulder belt penetrates through the shoulder belt guide ring. The free end, away from the lock tongue, of the shoulder belt and the free end, away from the lock tongue, of the waist belt are both wound in the winder. The winder synchronously winds or unwinds the shoulder belt and the waist belt.
