Occupant restraint system for a vehicle seat including external tethering
An occupant restraint system for a seat of a vehicle includes at least a first airbag carried by the seat and deployable from the seat and at least a first tether mounted to the seat and deployable from a stowed position to a deployed position such that the first tether extends around a front facing side of the first airbag from a first lateral side of a seatback of the seat to a second lateral side of the seatback.
MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING IMPROVED DEFLECTION MEMBER OF A SAFETY BELT DEVICE AND METHOD
A motor vehicle comprises a three-point safety belt device to a motor vehicle seat, wherein the safety belt device comprises a belt, a belt magazine, a belt buckle for releasably securing the belt and a deflection member. The deflection member is provided for guiding the belt emerging from the belt magazine and for deflecting the belt and forming a belt portion of the belt, wherein the belt portion is guided over a shoulder and a chest of a secured motor vehicle occupant seated on the motor vehicle seat. The deflection member is designed such that in the state of the motor vehicle occupant secured by the belt, when the belt portion is subjected to an increased tensile loading, the belt portion performs a displacement from a comfort position into an emergency position in the direction of the motor vehicle interior.
SELF-ADJUSTING SAFETY BELT SYSTEM FOR OCCUPANTS OF VARYING SIZES
A multi-point seat belt safety apparatus and system and device that automatically moves, adjusts, or otherwise corrects itself around one or more webbing deflection points, and utilizes different components, to accommodate seat occupants with different sizes and ages. In particular, when an occupant extends the webbing across their torso towards an anchor point, generally disposed to the near the side of their waist, the webbing first contacts the torso/shoulder of the occupant at a particular distance above the seat, which is reflective of the occupant's height, causing the webbing to automatically move along a length of a deflection element, positioned at, above, or near the shoulder of the seat occupant, to an appropriate deflection point. At such, the webbing is kept at a proper location, away from the neck of the occupant.
WEB RETRACTOR WITH SIDE, TOP OR BOTTOM WEB EXIT
A web retractor may include a frame with spaced-apart first and second side walls and a bottom wall coupling together the side walls, the frame defining an opening through the first side wall, the second side wall or the bottom wall, a spool rotatably mounted to and between the first and second side walls and spaced apart from the opening, a web having one end mounted to the spool, the spool being rotatable to take up and pay out at least some of the web, and a web deflector mounted to at least one of the first side wall, the second sidewall and the bottom wall and positioned between the spool and the opening, the web deflector configured to guide the web from the spool out of the web retractor through the opening and to guide the web into the retractor and to the spool through the opening.
VEHICLE SEAT
Provided is a vehicle seat in which a transverse guide of a belt guide is located on a seat front side and an upper side with respect to two fixation portions of the belt guide and in which two side guides each include a linear portion extending linearly from the transverse guide toward a back frame.
Motor vehicle and occupant seat combination
A motor vehicle and occupant seat combination may include any one or combination of means for selectively preventing forward pivoting of at least one vehicle seat, one or more web attenuators for dampen forces applied thereby by one or more respective shoulder webs of at least one occupant restraint system, at least one sleeve received on at least one shoulder web and a corresponding sleeve adjuster for adjusting a position of the sleeve along the respective shoulder web, and one or more ratcheting web retractors for selectively tightening a lap web or a thigh web about an occupant of at least one vehicle seat.
SEAT BELT SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE AND VEHICLE WITH A SEAT BELT SYSTEM
A seat belt system for a vehicle comprising a seat (16) that includes a seat frame (26) with a seat frame side part (28), a seat belt (18) associated with the seat (16) and having a webbing (40), and a belt tensioner associated with the seat belt (18). The seat frame side part (28) includes a lateral opening (36) facing the vehicle interior. The seat (16) includes a seat cross tube that opens into the vehicle interior via the opening (36). The belt tensioner is accommodated in the seat cross tube. The seat belt system further includes a belt guide (54) and a webbing deflector (56) for the webbing (40), the belt guide (54) being provided at the opening (36). Moreover, a vehicle comprising such a seat belt system is provided.
Belt guide device for a passenger restraint belt of a motor vehicle
A seat belt guide device for a passenger restraint belt of a motor vehicle is provided, wherein the seat belt guide device includes a fastening device with at least one spring-actuated catching device, with which the seat belt guide device can be snap-fitted or fastened to a motor vehicle in an assembly direction, wherein the seat belt guide device is preferably molded from at least one plastic injection.
Vehicle body upper structure
The vehicle body upper structure includes a rear roof rail, a retractor, a webbing, and an anchor. The rear roof rail extends along a roof panel of the vehicle body. The retractor is housed inside the rear roof rail and is fixed to the rear roof rail with a first fastening bolt. For example, the webbing is pulled out in a pull-out direction orthogonal to an axis of the first fastening bolt. A through ring changes a stretching direction of the webbing that restrains an occupant with the webbing to have an acute angle with respect to the pull-out direction.
