A wheelchair-bound passenger restraint device has a wheelchair retractor that rewinds one end portion of a wheelchair belt member in an extractable manner, a wheelchair buckle that can be fitted with a wheelchair tongue plate, a passenger retractor that rewinds one end portion of a passenger belt member in an extractable manner, a passenger buckle that can be fitted with a passenger tongue plate, a buckle sensor that detects that the wheelchair tongue plate has been fitted to the wheelchair buckle, and a passenger belt lock mechanism that is configured to be able to make a changeover between a locked state making the passenger belt member unextractable an unlocked state making the passenger belt member extractable, and that makes a changeover from the locked state to the unlocked state when it is detected that the wheelchair tongue plate has been fitted to the wheelchair buckle.

A safety belt automatic adjustment apparatus includes a safety belt buckle fastening assembly, a safety belt retractor and a linking component. The safety belt buckle fastening assembly is rotatably connected to a seat body of a child safety seat and for connecting with a safety belt buckle. A restraint system for use in a vehicle may include a seat; a belt system having at least one belt and at least one belt-adjusting mechanism; and at least one buckle. The belt-adjusting mechanism may be disposed at a first side of the seat and the buckle may be disposed at a second side of the seat. An end portion of the belt may be connected to the belt-adjusting mechanism; and the belt system may have a locking member for locking with the buckle. The restraint system may also include a belt pretensioner that includes a force transmission member; and an actuator configured to actuate the force transmission member for tightening the force transmission member and/or the belt. The actuator may be configured to be actuated and/or triggered by an operator.

A restraint system for use in a vehicle may include a seat; a belt system having at least one belt and at least one belt-adjusting mechanism; and at least one buckle. A restraint system includes a housing, a spool, a disc, a cutter, a plate, and an actuator. The spool is rotatably coupled to the housing. The disc is fixed to the spool. The cutter is moveable along a path from a spaced position away from the disc to a cutting position adjacent the disc. The plate is moveable between an engaged position extending in the path and a disengaged position spaced from the path. The actuator is coupled to the plate.

A vehicle system equipped with an apparatus for detecting a vehicle buckle may include: a buckle switch device which is turned on or off depending on whether a vehicle seat belt buckle is fastened; and a buckle detection apparatus that determines whether the vehicle seat belt buckle is fastened based on an on or off operation of the buckle switch device and diagnoses a failure of the buckle detection apparatus.

A vehicle system equipped with an apparatus for detecting a vehicle buckle may include: a buckle switch device which is turned on or off depending on whether a vehicle seat belt buckle is fastened; and a buckle detection apparatus that determines whether the vehicle seat belt buckle is fastened based on an on or off operation of the buckle switch device and diagnoses a failure of the buckle detection apparatus.

The release mechanism comprises an actuator, where a movement of the actuator from a first position to a second position alternates the release mechanism from the first state to the second state, and vice versa. The actuator's position allows a user to identify whether the release mechanism is in the first state or in the second state.
