WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE

A webbing take-up device including: a spool; a rotating member configured such that the spool is rotated in a take-up direction by the rotating member being rotated toward one side; a cylinder open at an axial direction leading end side; a fluid supplier provided at an axial direction base end side of the cylinder and supplying a fluid inside the cylinder in a vehicle emergency; a moving member provided inside the cylinder, moved toward the axial direction leading end side of the cylinder due to pressure of the fluid, and rotating the rotating member toward the one side by being moved in a state in which a tooth of the rotating member has bitten into or pierced the moving member; and a stopper provided further toward a movement direction side of the moving member than a section where the tooth of the rotating member has bitten into or pierced the moving member, the stopper being pressed by a portion of the moving member where the biting into or piercing of the rotating member has been disengaged, the stopper being engaged by teeth of the rotating member, and the stopper suppresses rotation of the rotating member toward the one side by the stopper being moved toward the section where teeth of the rotating member bite into or pierce the moving member.

LOAD-LIMITING RETRACTOR

A retractor includes a spool, a torsion bar and a torsion tube rotationally fixed to the spool, and a locking member aligned with the torsion bar. The torsion bar and the torsion tube extend coaxially from the spool to respective first ends, and the torsion bar has a key. The locking member is movable from an unlocked position rotationally disengaged with the torsion bar to a locked position wherein the key rotationally fixes the locking member to the first end of the torsion bar. When the locking member is in the unlocked position, the torsion bar may be plastically deformed to limit the load applied by webbing against an occupant. If sufficient force is applied to the webbing, the locking member moves to the locked position in which both torsion bar and the torsion tube are locked together and, in tandem, limit the load applied by the webbing.

A retractor and a seat belt device that can achieve miniaturization of a device by thinning a part of an automatic lock mechanism. The automatic lock mechanism includes a switching plate that is rotatably connected to the spool via a speed reduction gear, and a lever member that is operated by the switching plate. The switching plate includes a disc-shaped guide part, a first projected part disposed on a first surface of the guide part, and a second projected part disposed on a second surface of the guide part. The lever member includes a first lever in contact with the first projected part, a second lever in contact with the second projected part, and a gap disposed between the first lever and the second lever, through which the guide part can pass.

A self-locking belt retractor for seat belts having a belt shaft rotatably mounted in a housing frame and having a belt-webbing-sensitive actuation mechanism A control plate that can be deflected with a relative rotation between the belt shaft and the control plate The control plate bears a two-arm eccentrically mounted inertial mass A control clip is rotatably frictionally mounted on a bearing surface for the belt shaft. An actuator of the control plate engages two legs of control clip and forms contact surfaces for the legs for shifting the control plate in belt retracting direction as well as in belt extending direction. One of the legs projects during rotation of the control plate in the belt retracting direction into the pivoting path of a pivot arm of the inertial mass and releases the inertial mass with a rotation of the control plate in the belt extending direction.

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE

In a vehicle emergency, a spool of a webbing take-up device is rotated in a pull-out direction such that a main lock is displaced toward a rotation-radial direction outside of the spool and engages with a clutch gear configuring a first rotation body. Rotation of the spool in the pull-out direction is thus restricted. Also in a vehicle emergency, the first rotation body is rotated in a take-up direction of the spool such that the main lock engages with the first rotation body, and rotation force of the first rotation body is transmitted to the spool through the main lock and the spool is rotated in the take-up direction.
