Retractor with Mud Shield and Vibration Reduction
A seat belt retractor (10) having a frame with sides (14, 16) and a cover associated with at least one side, an inertial sensor (30) positioned between the at least one side of the frame and the cover, a seal located between the cover and the frame side to prevent contaminants from entering a space about the inertial sensor, the inertia sensor including a movable mass (34) and a magnet (36) spaced from the mass (34) to create a magnetic force upon the mass (34) preventing the magnet from moving excessively if the retractor is subject to predetermined levels of vibration.

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE
A webbing take-up device in which, when a pretensioner mechanism is activated and turning of a pinion relative to a spool is allowed, a lock pawl is turned by the pinion and a trigger wire is sheared by the lock pawl. Thereafter, the pinion turns more relative to the lock pawl and shears a lock pin of the lock pawl. Hence, the lock pawl turns and activates an activation mechanism. Therefore, the activation mechanism may be activated without a torsion shaft of a force limiter mechanism allowing turning of a lock base in the take-up direction relative to the spool.

PET RESTRAINT SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A pet restraint system for a vehicle is provided. The pet restraint system includes a leash configured to connect to a restraint device on a pet, a wearable device comprising one of a collar and a harness configured to be worn on the pet and connected to the leash, a retractor device coupled to the leash and configured to be secured to a support structure on the vehicle, a sensor for detecting an expected condition of the vehicle, and a controller for controlling the retractor to retract or lock the leash based on the determined expected condition of the vehicle.
SEAT BELT RETRACTOR
A seat belt retractor, with a belt shaft mounted rotatably in a frame, a blocking device for blocking the belt shaft in an extension direction of the seat belt, a control device having a control disc with a toothing for activating the blocking device, an electric actuator with a first blocking lever, which is spring-loaded into the toothing of the control disc in an engagement direction, an ECL blocking lever which, in a first position, blocks the first blocking lever of the actuator during a first belt band extension in a position in which said blocking lever does not engage in the toothing of the control disc, and an LC blocking lever which, in a first position, blocks the first blocking lever of the actuator when a predetermined belt band extension length is fallen short of in a first position.

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE
Unnecessary locking of rotation of a spool is suppressed. A webbing take-up device is provided with a spool, a pawl and a small pawl. The pawl is displaceable between an allowing position and a locking position. When a rotation speed of the spool in a pull-out direction exceeds a predetermined speed, the pawl displaces from the allowing position to the locking position and locks rotation of the spool in the pull-out direction. The small pawl is displaceable between a pawl limiting position and a lock position. In a state in which the small pawl is disposed at the pawl limiting position, the small pawl limits displacement of the pawl to a locking position side thereof. In a state in which the small pawl is disposed at the lock position, the small pawl locks rotation of the spool in the pull-out direction.

Seat belt retractor
A seat belt system for protecting an occupant of a vehicle, the system having seat belt webbing connected to a seat belt retractor that includes (a) a frame; (b) a spool with the seat belt webbing wound around, wherein the spool is rotatably mounted to the frame and configured to rotate in a webbing extraction direction and a webbing retraction direction; (c) an energy absorbing device for absorbing energy when the spool is rotated in the webbing extraction direction after an emergency event has occurred; and (d) a mechanism for selectively cancelling the operation of the energy absorbing device by preventing motion of the spool in the webbing extraction direction.
