STEERING COLUMN DEVICE
A steering shaft is rotatably provided inside an outer column and an inner column. A key lock collar is mounted on an outer peripheral surface of the steering shaft, the outer peripheral surface facing the outer column. The key lock collar includes a key lock collar body and a cylindrical portion. Multiple concave parts and convex parts extending in the axial direction are provided on an outer peripheral part of the key lock collar body along the circumferential direction. A lock key is engaged with the concave parts from adjacent to the outer column, and thus the rotation of the steering shaft with respect to the outer column is restricted. An outer diameter of the cylindrical portion is smaller than an outer diameter of the convex parts and larger than an outer diameter of the concave parts.
Key cylinder device
A key cylinder device includes a rotor resiliently mounting tumblers that are aligned by insertion of a mechanical key, a rotor case rotatably housing the rotor that is inserted in a direction opposite to an insertion direction of the mechanical key, and a cylindrical sleeve arranged around an outer peripheral surface of the rotor and fixed to an inner surface of the rotor case. The sleeve includes a hole that allows the tumblers to be disengaged when the mechanical key is inserted and to be engaged when the mechanical key is extracted.
Steering lock device
A steering lock device includes a trigger that is displaced as a frame cover drops from a frame, an auxiliary lock device that holds a lock member in a locked position as the trigger is displaced under condition that the lock member is positioned in the locked position, a housed component that is arranged in a housing chamber defined by the frame cover and the frame or in a guide hole, and a trigger coupling member that couples the housed component and the trigger. When the housed component is displaced, the trigger is displaced via the trigger coupling member.

Motor vehicle steering lock
A motor vehicle steering lock includes a housing in which is disposed a lock cylinder including a selector shaft which can assume various rotational positions. An adjustment element of an ignition switch is movably coupled to the selector shaft and triggers a desired function of the motor vehicle depending upon the rotational position of the selector shaft. The selector shaft and the adjustment element are connected for a conjoint rotation via an intermediate compensating element that allows for a movement of the selector shaft in relation to the adjustment element in a first axis direction oriented radial to a longitudinal axis of the selector shaft and a movement of the adjustment element in relation to the selector shaft in a second axis direction perpendicular to the first axis direction.
Self-learning lock and lock assembly
A self-learning lock cylinder assembly or lock tumbler and tools capable of teaching the self-learning key configuration of a pre-existing key is disclosed. The assembly does not require disassembly and re-assembly of internal components by a skilled user. The individual performing the self-learning procedure sets the assembly by a simple rotation motion. The individual performing the self-learning procedure can verify that the original key and copies of the original key function properly within the lock cylinder prior to final assembly.
Anti-theft for a steering column of a motor vehicle
A lock for an antitheft device for a motor vehicle steering column is provided and includes a stator having a stator head with an opening, a rotor rotatably mounted about an axis with respect to the stator having an annular flange, a cam to rotate as one with the rotor, and an elastic element arranged between the cam and the rotor in order to exert a thrust load axially on the rotor. The opening of the stator is designed to engage with the annular flange to prevent the rotor from rotating in a predetermined rotation direction from a predetermined angular position and allows the rotor to rotate beyond the predetermined angular position by prior depression of the rotor.

Steering column assembly having a lock mounting bracket
A steering column assembly includes a jacket assembly and a bracket. The bracket has a first end portion defining a first opening and a second end portion defining a second opening. The second end portion overlaps the first end portion such that the second opening and the first opening are proximately aligned.
