Crossmember assembly with a scotch yoke for an adjustable roof rack of a motor vehicle
A crossmember assembly is provided for a motor vehicle having a roof with first and second rails. Each rail has a width within a range of widths, with the first and second rails being spaced from one another by distance within a range of distances. The assembly includes a crossbar having first and second ends and movable along the rails. The assembly further includes a first clamp mechanism engaged with the first end for securing the crossbar to the first rail and a second clamp mechanism engaged with the second end for securing the crossbar to the first rail. Each of the first and second clamp mechanisms includes a stanchion attached to the crossbar and having a first rail gripping surface. Each of the first and second clamp mechanisms further includes a scotch yoke, which has a second rail gripping surface and is movable between clamped and unclamped states.
Multiple position accessory mount
In at least some implementations, an accessory mount for a vehicle includes a first base, a support and a connector coupling the support to the first base. The first base has a first retainer with one or more retention features. The support has a second retainer that has one or more retention features that overlap one or more of the one or more retention features of the first retainer in different positions of the support relative to the first base. At least one of the first retainer and second retainer is movable relative to the other to decouple the first retainer and second retainer without removing the connector from the first base to enable movement of the support to multiple positions relative to the first base.

Removable mounting arrangement of a roof rail on the roof of a motor vehicle
The invention relates to a removable mounting arrangement of a roof rail 10 on the roof 20 of a motor vehicle. The rail profile 11 has a mounting wall 41 aligned an angle and recesses 42 for a mounting element 50 for introducing from the side. An adapter connected to the roof 20 of the motor vehicle also has an angled contact surface 31 having recesses 32 for the mounting elements 50. The potential for introducing the mounting elements 50 from the side enables easily mounting even a decorative roof rail 10 (

Cross roof bar
The present disclosure relates to a cross roof bar. The cross roof bar includes a main crossbeam, a base, an adjustment seat, and a fastening assembly that connects the base to the adjustment seat. The main crossbeam has a first sliding groove. The fastening assembly includes a fastening member, a fastening nut, and a fastening bolt. The fastening member is swingably mounted to the adjustment seat, and includes a lower fastening portion and an upper fastening portion connected to the lower fastening portion and slidably mounted to the first sliding groove. The fastening member is turnable to cause the upper fastening portion to press the main crossbeam on a top of the base. The cross roof bar can clamp longitudinal bars having different sizes, and a position of the main crossbeam on a roof can be adjusted, thereby helping construct a stable cargo support on the roof.
LOAD CARRIER FOOT
A load carrier foot for attaching a load carrying portion, preferably a profile element, to a vehicle. The load carrier foot includes a base portion, a cover portion, a lock for locking the cover portion to the base portion at a first position, and a fixing mechanism for fixing the cover portion to the base portion at a second position spaced from the first position. The fixing mechanism is releasable by opening the lock.
RACK OR CROSS-BAR MOUNTED SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR BICYCLES AND/OR OTHER ACCESSORIES
According to some illustrative embodiments, novel support structure is provided that can be used, for example, to mount bicycles or other accessories on vehicle racks employing a flush configuration that facilitates use and operation of tents or the like. In some illustrative embodiments, an assembly for supporting bicycles or other accessories on vehicles is provided that includes: a) at least one rack or cross-bar mountable support member having a top wall with a length of between about 2 inches to 24 inches and a width of between about 1 inch to 6 inches; b) the top wall having an over-hang section configured to extend over at least a portion of a top surface of a rack or cross-bar, a top surface of the top wall extending not more than 13 inch higher than the top surface of the rack or cross-bar such as to be substantially flush with the top surface of the rack or cross-bar; and c) the over-hang section having at least one through-hole for receiving a bolt or other connecting member that is fixable to the rack or cross-bar.
