Windshield wiper
A wiper blade assembly comprises a blade having upper and lower major surfaces, a wiper element extending from the lower major surface of the blade, a connector mounted on the upper major surface of the blade, and spoilers extending from opposite sides of the connector. The spoilers and the connector ore configured to positively engage each other. The spoiler includes a slice which will form a tear in the spoiler should the spoiler be moved axially relative to the connector to at least discourage reattachment of the spoiler should the spoiler be removed. The connector is a connector assembly comprising a connector base mountable to the blade of the wiper and an adapter which is separate from the connector base. The adapter is removably mountable to the connector base. Several different adapters are disclosed to allow the wiper assembly to be connected to different types of vehicle wiper arms.
Windshield wiper arm adapter, coupler and assembly
An adapter that connects with a coupler for a wiper element is configured to connect with a plurality of different wiper arms each having a different wiper arm style. The adapter can be a one-piece body or a multi-piece body having a cavity and openings for receiving distal ends or distal end features of each of the plurality of different wiper arms. The adapter can also include different tabs for engaging with openings, notches or other components on distal ends of each of the plurality of different wiper arms.
Windshield wiper device
The invention relates to a windshield wiper device (10a; 10b) for a windshield wiper (12a; 12b), comprising at least one wiper arm adapter (14a; 14b), at least one wiper blade adapter (16a; 16b), and a heating unit (18a; 18b) for heating a wiper blade (20a; 20b) and/or a spray unit (22a; 22b) for spraying a wash fluid onto a vehicle windshield, wherein the spray unit (22a; 22b) and/or the heating unit (18a; 18b) is/are at least partly arranged in the wiper blade adapter (16a; 16b). The wiper arm adapter (14a; 14b) and the wiper blade adapter (16a; 16b) have coupling elements (24a, 26a; 24b, 26b) which are provided for laterally coupling the wiper arm adapter (14a; 14b) to the wiper blade adapter (16a; 16b).

A windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type comprising an elastic, elongated carrier element, as well as an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped, which wiper blade includes at least one longitudinal slit, in which slit at least one longitudinal strip of the carrier element is disposed, which windscreen wiper device comprises a connecting device for a rod-like extension of an oscillating arm, wherein said rod-like extension can be pivotally connected to said connecting device about a pivot axis near a free end thereof, wherein said connecting device comprises a first part and a second part, wherein said rod-like extension of said oscillating arm can be pivotally connected to said first part about said pivot axis, with the interposition of said second part, wherein said first part is connected to said wiper blade and said second part is pivotally (preferably also detachably) connected onto said first part, wherein said second part comprises a channel arranged to receive said free end of said rod-like extension, with the special feature that said windscreen wiper device comprises a housing for said rod-like extension, wherein said housing is arranged to be connected to said second part, and wherein said housing comprises a channel to receive said rod-like extension, said channel of said housing in mounted position being co-axial with said channel of said second part.
Windscreen wiper device
A windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type, comprising a carrier element, as well as a wiper blade of a flexible material, wherein the wiper blade includes at least one longitudinal groove, in which groove at least one longitudinal strip of the carrier element is disposed, which windscreen wiper device comprises a connecting device for an oscillating arm, wherein the connecting device is connected to the flexible material of the wiper blade by at least one pin of a first type and/or at least one pin of a second type, and wherein at least one of the pins is movable from a first position, wherein the pin in a premounted position is fixed to the connecting device, into a second position, and wherein the pin in a mounted position as a single constructional element is interconnecting the connecting device and the flexible material of the wiper blade.
Windshield wiper-attachment device having a safety position, connector and adapter for such a device, and wiping system comprising said attachment device
The invention relates to a device for attaching a windshield wiper blade to a drive arm of a wiping system. The device comprises a connector attached to the blade and an adapter (9) for connecting the connector to the arm, said adapter (9) including holding means (20) for holding same in a nominal locking position on the arm. According to the invention, the connector and/or the adapter (9) comprise safety means (70) that allow the arm to be retained in the nominal locking position upon failure of the holding means (20), said safety means (70) being configured to allow the adapter (9) to be mounted on and/or removed from the arm during nominal operation. The invention also relates to such a connector and such an adapter, as well as to a wiping system comprising such an attachment device.
Rear windscreen wiper device
The windscreen wiper device includes a wiper element which is made of a flexible material and a carrier which operably supports the wiper element and biases the wiper element into a pre-curved position. A base is engaged with the carrier and at least one connector piece is releasably connectable with the base. The base includes a pair of holding elements which wrap around opposite lateral side edges of the carrier and a pair of laterally spaced side walls. The connector piece includes a pair of legs. A pair of projections are disposed in at least one of the side walls of the base and the legs of the connector piece and a pair of recesses are disposed on at least one of the side walls of the base and the legs of the connector piece for snappingly receiving the projections to releasably attach the connector piece with the base.
Windscreen wiper device
A windscreen wiper device for cleaning a windshield of a vehicle is provided. The windscreen wiper device includes a longitudinally extending wiper strip and at least one carrier element in engagement with the wiper strip for operatively supporting and biasing the wiper strip into a predetermined configuration. A base is non-removably coupled to the at least one carrier element and has an opening that extends therethrough to provide access to the at least one carrier element through the base. A connection device is removably secured directly to the at least one carrier element through the opening of the base for attachment with a wiper arm.
WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE
A wiper blade having a wiper strip having a wide portion and a lip, and an elongate backing element. The backing element having a top portion, and two opposing legs that descend from the top portion, such that each opposing leg has a claw which extends towards the other opposing leg. A gap formed between the claws that is narrower than a width of the wide portion of the wiper strip. The claws, legs, and top portion define a wiper strip cavity sized to receive the wide portion wiper strip.
WIPER BLADE ASSEMBLY
The present invention relates to a wiper blade assembly, comprising: a refill member; an elastic member supporting the refill member; a cover member into which the elastic member is inserted, including an engagement cover fastener; and an engagement cover which is fastened to the engagement cover fastener, wherein a first side of the engagement cover includes a cover member receiving part for receiving the cover member, and wherein the wiper blade assembly includes a fastening protrusion located in a certain area of the cover member receiving part. Because the refill member and the cover member can be produced by a single extrusion moulding process, it is possible to reduce the number of manufacturing processes.
