Fluid level detection
A system includes a computer having a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to determine a first temperature of a fluid stored by a fluid storage device and then actuate a fluid heating device to add heat energy to the fluid. The instructions include instructions to determine an amount of the heat energy added to the fluid. The instructions include instructions to determine a second temperature of the fluid stored by the fluid storage device after adding the heat energy to the fluid. The instructions include instructions to determine a quantity of the fluid stored by the fluid storage device based on the amount of the heat energy added to the fluid by the fluid heating device and a difference between the first temperature and the second temperature.
SYSTEM AND REFILLING STATION FOR AN AUTONOMOUS SPRAYING ROBOT
A robotic vehicle (10) charging station (40) may include a charge interface configured to charge a battery (210) of a robotic vehicle (10) responsive to docking of the robotic vehicle (10) at the charging station (40), and a mixing assembly (240) configured to facilitate mixing a solid material and a liquid to form an aqueous solution for provision to a storage tank (14) of the robotic vehicle.
Surface wiper system
A surface wiper device which includes a carrier which supports a blade. The carrier attaches to a wiper arm which urges the blade against and moves the blade across the surface of a windshield. The carrier further provides a plurality of outlets each of which communicate between a hollow passage inside the carrier and a location on the external surface of the carrier. A fluid can be delivered from a fluid source fluidicly coupled to the hollow passage of the carrier under sufficient pressure to be dispersed from the plurality of outlets onto the windshield during movement of the blade. A fluid heater can be thermally coupled with the fluid delivered from the fluid source to the plurality of outlets to increase the temperature of the fluid dispersed onto the windshield. The fluid can be sufficiently heated to generate a heated gas.
Heating apparatus for washer fluid
A heating apparatus for a washer fluid according to an embodiment includes a container having an accommodation space in which a washer fluid is accommodated, an inlet part configured to charge the washer fluid into the accommodation space, an outlet part configured to discharge the washer fluid from the accommodation space, a heater provided in the accommodation space, the heater being configured to heat the washer fluid, and coils wound around the heater. The coils are in a spiral shape extending about the axis of the coils and are formed of wires in contact with the heater. The coils have close contact parts at which a plurality of wires is in close contact to each other in an extending direction of an axis.
Vehicle surface cleaning device
A vehicle surface cleaning device comprising a vehicle integrated housing including a nozzle carrier extendable from and retractable into the bodywork of a vehicle, said nozzle carrier being provided with at least one fluid nozzle, and comprising means for contactlessly heating the fluid nozzle while being in a retracted position.
Washing system with prevention of washer fluid freezing
A method of preventing washer fluid freezing is provided. The method includes performing hose residual washer fluid removal control that removes residual washer fluid of a hose which is a movement path of washer fluid after a spray of the washer fluid by operation of a pump washer fluid device.
Fluid connection for a wiper blade and such a wiper blade
Fluid connection (12) for a wiper blade (14) of a windshield wiping system, wherein a heating element (16) is arranged in a lumen (18) and protrudes from an opening (18) of the lumen (18), wherein a tubular sealing means (10) is able to be arranged on the opening (20) and closes the opening (20) in a fluid-tight manner and fixes the heating means (16).
FLUID GUIDING APPARATUS FOR A WINDSCREEN WIPER
A fluid guiding apparatus for a wiper arm of a windscreen wiper, the fluid guiding apparatus having a vehicle/arm interface in order to receive windscreen washing liquid from a source, an arm/wiper blade interface which has at least two fluid channels which are provided to supply the windscreen washing liquid to a wiper blade, at least a first and a second fluid line in order to guide the windscreen washing liquid from the vehicle/arm interface the arm/wiper blade interface and to provide it to one of the fluid channels in each case, and a heating wire which is guided at least through a portion of the first fluid line and at least through a portion of the second fluid line and which is provided to heat the windscreen washing liquid. The arm/wiper blade interface has a through-opening which connects the two fluid channels to each other. The heating wire is guided through the through-opening and the through-opening is closed with a sealing element.
Windshield touch and clean system
A cleaning device for a surface, such as a windshield of a vehicle, has a housing that holds a spray bar, rotatable brush and a wiper blade. An engagement mechanism moves spray bar, the brush, and the wiper blade out from a disengaged position within the housing to an engaged position outside the housing so that they can be used to clean, brush, and dry the surface. After the spray bar, brush, and wiper blade are used to, respectively, clean, brush, and dry the surface, the engagement mechanism then moves the spray bar, the brush, and the wiper blade to a disengaged position within the housing.
