Hydraulic brake system for a vehicle, and corresponding operating method

A hydraulic brake system for a vehicle includes a master brake cylinder, a hydraulic unit, and multiple wheel brakes. The hydraulic unit Ha at least one brake circuit for modulating the braking pressure in the wheel brakes. At least one wheel brake is paired with a bistable solenoid valve, which is looped into the corresponding fluid channel directly upstream of the paired wheel brake and which enables the braking pressure in the paired wheel brake to be modulated in a de-energized open position and locks the current braking pressure in the paired wheel brake in a de-energized closed position, wherein a volume equalization device which comprises a connectable accumulator opens into the corresponding fluid channel between the bistable solenoid valve and the paired wheel brake.

Hydraulic unit

A hydraulic unit, in particular a hydraulic unit for a slip-controllable vehicle brake system, includes a housing block, a pump, and a damping device. The pump has an intake side and a delivery side. The housing block has a pump receptacle that holds the pump, a first fluid duct that intersects the pump receptacle in a region of the delivery side of the pump, and a second fluid duct opening into the pump receptacle in the region of the delivery side of the pump, and a first separation point that seals off the first fluid duct from the second fluid duct. The damping device damps pulsations and reduces operating noise of the hydraulic unit without (i) having a detrimental effect on functional characteristics of the unit, in particular on pressure build-up dynamics of the vehicle brake system, or without (ii) jeopardizing a compact construction of the hydraulic unit.

Hydraulic Unit of a Traction Control System

A hydraulic unit of a traction control system of a hydraulic vehicle brake system includes a hydraulic block and an electric motor that is arranged on the hydraulic block and configured to drive hydraulic pumps of the traction control system. The hydraulic block has a valve side that faces away from the electric motor. Solenoid valves, an electronic control unit and electrical plug contacts in a multiple electrical connector are arranged on the valve side. In order to prevent any liquid that has leaked from the electric motor from reaching the valve side, a hollow shaft, through which connection lines of the electric motor are fed, is sealed in a through-hole, which runs from the electric motor to the valve side facing away, by a sealing ring that consists of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber that swells upon contact with brake fluid.
