EV DISCONNECT CONTROL
Systems and processes described herein can use drive line actuators (DLAs) which can be implemented for one or more individual wheels of an electric vehicle (EV) permitting connection and disconnection of at least a portion of the axle and wheel from the electric motor suppling torque. A disconnected wheel and axle can experience less friction, and have less rotational mass then a wheel and axle that is connected to an electric motor, therefore the disconnecting wheels in which torque is not desired can result in increased efficiency and range in an EV.

Hybrid vehicle
When a first type gear shift line is used as a gear shift line to change the gear ratio, and a predetermined condition including a condition that a state of charge of the power storage device is equal to or lower than a first ratio is satisfied, the control device changes the gear shift line to a second type gear shift line that recommends a lower speed gear ratio than the first type gear shift line.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DRIVE CONTROL OF VEHICLE
A method and a system for a drive control of a vehicle, the method for the drive control of the vehicle includes: obtaining request information reflecting a power demand of a user on the vehicle and performance information reflecting a power performance of the vehicle; determining whether the vehicle meets a condition for activating a parallel operation mode according to the request information and the performance information when a result of comparison between the request information and the performance information indicates that the vehicle power performance cannot meet the power demand of the user on the vehicle; and activating the parallel operation mode of the vehicle in order that the vehicle outputs a power that meets the power demand of the user on the vehicle in the parallel operation mode, when the vehicle meets the condition for activating the parallel operation mode.
Hybrid vehicle with optimized transmission control during regenerative braking
A hybrid vehicle includes an engine, an electric machine configured to apply a negative torque during regenerative braking, and a multi-speed transmission coupled to the engine and having multiple discrete gear ratios. A controller is programmed to, in response to a request to decelerate the vehicle, command a shift of the transmission to a one of the gear ratios that is predetermined to rotate the electric machine at a speed that generates a regenerative-braking torque corresponding to a target deceleration of the vehicle without application of friction brakes.

VEHICLE DRIVE DEVICE
A vehicle drive includes a speed change mechanism connected to a rotary electric machine; an output member connected to the speed change mechanism and wheels; an engagement device changes a state of engagement between an input member connected to an engine and the speed change mechanism; a hydraulic pump driven by the engine or the rotary electric machine; a first pressure control device that controls pressure supplied from the pump and supplies the pressure to the speed change mechanism; a second, separate hydraulic pressure control device that controls the pressure supplied from the pump and supplies the pressure to the engagement device; and a case that houses the rotary electric machine, speed change mechanism, engagement device, and pump. At least the engagement device is housed in a space formed by the case, and the second hydraulic pressure control device is provided at a part of the case forming the space.

Pulse start method for an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle
A hybrid drive device has an internal combustion engine, a clutch transmission which has at least one free partial transmission and a partial transmission connected to an electric machine with in each case a clutch, and at least one electric machine. In order to start the internal combustion engine, pulse energy is provided from an inertia of the clutch associated with the free partial transmission and/or a rotation in the free partial transmission.
