VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR VEHICLE
20180010491 · 2018-01-11 ·

An electronic control unit stores a vehicle load at the time when the vehicle is switched into an ignition off state, stops operation of an electric oil pump when the vehicle load is small, and operates the electric oil pump when the vehicle load is large. Thus, a decrease in service life due to an increase in the number of times of the start of the electric oil pump is suppressed, and, when it is estimated that the vehicle load is large, the response of the start of a vehicle, which makes a driver experience a feeling of strangeness, is improved by starting the electric oil pump together with switching the vehicle into an ignition on state.

The invention relates to a device, which can be mounted on the rear end of a motor vehicle body, for coupling a trailer or a load carrier unit, comprising a holding arm, which at a first end is fixedly connected to the motor vehicle body during operation and which, at a second end, is configured to support a coupling element, wherein the holding arm is provided with a sensor arrangement with at least three deformation sensors, and wherein the at least three deformation sensors deliver sensor values, on the basis of which at least one force component is determined by means of an evaluation unit.

System and method for controlling the speed of a work vehicle towing an implement

A method for controlling the speed of a work vehicle towing an implement that is movable between a working position, in which ground engaging tools of the implement are configured to perform a field operation, and a transport position, in which the ground engaging tools are raised relative to the ground. The method may include monitoring, with a computing device, an implement weight supported by the implement while the implement is in the transport position. The method may further include comparing, with the computing device, the implement weight to a predetermined threshold weight. Additionally, the method may include, when the implement weight differs from the predetermined threshold weight, adjusting, with the computing device, a maximum speed limit for the work vehicle.

ERRONEOUS START SUPPRESSION DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE
20230129531 · 2023-04-27 · ·

An erroneous start suppression device equipped with an electronic control unit that controls a drive device that generates a driving force of a vehicle, and the electronic control unit determines whether or not an accelerator operation of a driver is an erroneous operation based on whether or not a predetermined determination condition is satisfied; limits a driving force generated by the drive device when the electronic control unit determines that the accelerator operation of the driver is an erroneous operation; determines whether or not the vehicle is towing a towed vehicle; and changes the predetermined determination condition so that it becomes difficult to determine that the predetermined determination condition is satisfied when it is determined that the vehicle is towing a towed vehicle.

Load-based vehicle operating control

A hybrid electric vehicle includes an engine and an electric machine, both capable of providing propulsion power. A clutch is configured to selectively couple the engine to the electric machine. At times, the vehicle may be subject to excessive loads, such as a large amount of weight in the vehicle or the vehicle towing another object. At least one controller is programmed to engage the clutch and start the engine in response to a load of the vehicle exceeding a predetermined threshold and a release of the brake pedal while the vehicle is stopped and in drive. This increases available engine torque prior to vehicle launch in anticipation of an upcoming acceleration demand.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING WHETHER A TRAILER IS ATTACHED TO A VEHICLE
20170305436 · 2017-10-26 ·

A control system for a vehicle for determining whether a trailer is attached to the vehicle, the system being configured to receive an input of pitch data for the vehicle and to determine from the pitch data whether a trailer is attached to the vehicle.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR HYBRID VEHICLE
20220041156 · 2022-02-10 · ·

A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to avoid a sudden and significant reduction in a drive torque generated by a motor during high load operation. A controller comprises a determiner that determines a satisfaction of a predetermined condition, and a power limiter that restricts an upper limit of an output power of an electric storage device supplied to the motor upon satisfaction of the predetermined condition, to a restricted upper limit value which is smaller than a normal upper limit value set in a case that the predetermined condition is not satisfied.

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD, AND VEHICLE CONTROL PROGRAM

A vehicle control device includes a detecting unit that detects a towing state of a subject vehicle, a recognizing unit that recognizes surrounding situations of the subject vehicle, a control unit that performs automatic control in which at least one of acceleration-and-deceleration and steering of the subject vehicle is automatically controlled on the basis of the surrounding situations of the subject vehicle recognized by the recognizing unit, and a changing unit that changes, if the detecting unit has detected that the subject vehicle is in a state of towing an object, details of control performed by the control unit in such a manner that it is less likely to perform the automatic control than in the case where the detecting unit has not detected that the subject vehicle is in a state of towing an object.

Apparatus for controlling towing mode of electric vehicle and method thereof

An apparatus for controlling a towing mode of an electric vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a first sensor that measures a speed of the electric vehicle and a second sensor that measures a gradient of a road on which the electric vehicle is driven. A controller detects a reference output of the electric vehicle based on the speed and the gradient of the road and detects a towing weight of the electric vehicle based on an excess rate of a current output with respect to the reference output. The towing mode of the electric vehicle is then executed based on the detected towing weight.

VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE

A vehicle control device is configured to control a vehicle. The vehicle control device is capable of deriving a required driving force required for traveling of the vehicle based on an output requirement received from a driver, and controlling a driving force of the vehicle using the required driving force as a target value. The vehicle control device is configured to transition to a second traveling mode when the required driving force increases while the vehicle is traveling in a first traveling mode. The vehicle control device is configured to perform driving force reduction control, in which an amount of increase in the required driving force accompanying an increase in the output requirement is made smaller than an amount of increase in the required driving force in a normal state, at a time of performing transition to the second traveling mode.
