An evaporative emissions control system includes a first vent valve configured to selectively open and close a first vent, a second vent valve configured to selectively open and close a second vent, a fuel level sensor configured to sense a fuel level in the fuel tank, a pressure sensor configured to sense a pressure in the fuel tank, an accelerometer configured to measure an acceleration of the vehicle, and a controller configured to regulate operation of the first and second vent valves to provide pressure relief for the fuel tank. The controller is programmed to determine if a refueling event is occurring based one signals indicating the fuel level is increasing, the pressure in the fuel tank is increasing, and the vehicle is not moving, and open at least one of the first and second vent valves based on determining the refueling event is occurring.
Magnet temperature estimating device for motor and hybrid vehicle provided with the same
A magnet temperature estimating device for a motor provided with a rotor having magnets and configured to output a rotational motive force, and a stator having a plurality of coils opposing the rotor with an aperture therebetween, is provided. The device includes a sensor configured to detect an induced voltage induced by rotation of the rotor, and a controller configured to control the motor by supplying power to the plurality of coils in response to an input of a detection signal from the sensor. The controller estimates a temperature of one of the magnets based on an amplitude of a frequency spectrum corresponding to a given frequency, among frequency components constituting the induced voltage.
THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A thermal management system includes a switching valve that switches between a first mode in which first and second flow paths are separated and a second mode in which parts of the first and second flow paths are connected. In the first mode, a control unit acquires measured values of first and second temperatures in the first and second flow paths and estimated values of the first and second temperatures when the switching valve is not in a slightly open state. The switching valve is in the slightly open state when the measured value of the first temperature is higher than the estimated value of the first temperature by a value greater than a first predetermined threshold and the measured value of the second temperature is lower than the estimated value of the second temperature by a value greater than a second predetermined threshold.
IN-VEHICLE TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
An in-vehicle temperature adjustment system includes: a refrigeration circuit including an inter-medium heat exchanger and a vaporizer that vaporizes the cooling medium to achieve a refrigeration cycle by circulating a cooling medium; a thermal circuit including a heater core, the inter-medium heat exchanger, an engine thermal circuit, and a radiator to circulate the heating medium; and a controller that controls a distribution state of the heating medium. The thermal circuit includes: a first branch portion at which a coolant flowing out of the engine thermal circuit and the inter-medium heat exchanger is divided into coolants flowing into the heater core and into the radiator; a second branch portion at which a coolant flowing out of the heater core is divided into coolants flowing into the inter-medium heat exchanger and into the engine thermal circuit; a first adjustment valve and a second adjustment valve.

A thermal management system may include a first cooling circuit cooling PE parts and including a first radiator, a first coolant line circulating a coolant between the first radiator and the PE parts, and a first electric water pump circulating the coolant along the first coolant line, a heat pump system including a compressor compressing a refrigerant, an internal condenser performing a heat exchange between the compressed refrigerant and air supplied inside a vehicle, a refrigerant line circulating the refrigerant between the compressor and the internal condenser, and a heat exchanger for the heat exchange between the coolant and the refrigerant, a flow increase bypass line between the first coolant lines on the entrance and exit sides of the PE parts, and a coolant control valve provided at location where the flow increase bypass line is branched in the first coolant line and controlling a flow direction of the coolant.
CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A HYBRID OR ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A vehicle includes an electrical powertrain, a heater, at least one cooling loop, and a controller. The heater is configured to heat a vehicle cabin. The at least one cooling loop is configured to transport waste heat from at least one subcomponent of the electrical powertrain to the vehicle cabin. The controller is programmed to, in response to a command to heat the vehicle cabin and a command to operate in an economy mode, shut down the heater and operate the at least one cooling loop to transport the waste heat to the vehicle cabin. The controller is further programmed to, in response to the command to heat the vehicle cabin and an absence of the command to operate in the economy mode, operate the heater to heat the vehicle cabin.
FLUID MANAGEMENT MODULE AND MODULAR SYSTEM
A fluid management module, e.g., for a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The fluid management module includes at least two function components and at least one electrical control/regulating device. The control/regulating device includes a circuit board with electrical connectors. The electrical connectors include a plurality of analogue signal input connectors and at least one component field bus connector, each for electrically connecting to a respective function component via a component field bus, and a vehicle field bus connector for electrically connecting to a CAN bus or LIN bus of a motor vehicle. At least the vehicle field bus connector, the component field bus connector and the analogue signal input connectors are electrically connected to a micro-controller of the control/regulating device provided on the circuit board. At least one of the at least two function components is electrically connected to at least one of the electrical connectors.
VEHICLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle temperature control system includes: a first temperature control circuit; a second temperature control circuit; a heat exchanger in which heat exchange between a first temperature control medium and a second temperature control medium is performed; and a control device. The control device is capable of controlling a flow rate control valve based on a temperature of the first temperature control medium and a temperature of the second temperature control medium. In a case where the temperature of the first temperature control medium is lower than the temperature of the second temperature control medium, the control device controls the flow rate control valve such that a flow rate to a second branch flow path is larger than a flow rate in a case where the temperature of the first temperature control medium is higher than the temperature of the second temperature control medium.
VEHICLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle temperature control system includes: a first temperature control circuit; a second temperature control circuit; a heat exchanger in which heat exchange between a first temperature control medium and a second temperature control medium is performed; and a control device. The control device is capable of controlling a carrier frequency and a flow rate control valve of the second temperature control circuit based on the temperature of the first temperature control medium detected. In a case where the temperature of the first temperature control medium is lower than a predetermined value, the control device is configured to set the carrier frequency to be lower and controls the flow rate control valve such that the flow rate to a second branch flow path is smaller, as compared with a case where the temperature of the first temperature control medium is equal to or higher than the predetermined value.
