Methods and systems for a clutch assembly in an electric drive axle of a vehicle are provided. In one example, a clutch assembly in a gear train is provided that includes a locking clutch. The locking clutch includes a gear including a plurality of teeth having at least one tooth with a tapered end, an indexing shaft rotationally connected to an output shaft, a shift collar mounted on the indexing shaft, configured to translate on the indexing shaft into an engaged and disengaged configuration, and including a plurality of teeth on a face, where at least one tooth in the plurality of teeth in the shift collar includes a tapered end, and an indexing mechanism coupled to the shift collar and the indexing shaft and configured to accommodate for indexing between the indexing shaft and the shift collar during shift collar engagement.

A fuel tank system constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes a fuel tank and an evaporative emissions control system. The evaporative emissions control system is configured to recapture and recycle emitted fuel vapor. The evaporative emissions control system includes a liquid trap, a first device, a second device, a control module and a G-sensor. The first device is configured to selectively open and close a first vent. The second device is configured to selectively open and close a second vent. The control module regulates operation of the first and second devices to provide over-pressure and vacuum relief for the fuel tank. The G-sensor provides a signal to the control module based on a measured acceleration.

An actuator device having a motor driven cam, a follower coupled to an output member and driven by the cam, and a controller for controlling operation of the motor. The cam has a first cam surface, a second cam surface and a lift portion between the first and second cam surfaces. The controller is configured to identify a predetermined point on the lift portion as the follower is moved relative to the cam along the lift portion toward the second cam surface. The controller identifies the predetermined point based on a rate of change in the position of the output member along an output member axis as a function of the rotational position of the cam about a cam axis. The controller controls operation of the motor based on the predetermined point to position the follower on the second cam surface.
