DISCRETE DELIVERY OF MATERIAL

Construction 3D printing, although a technology that is expected to provide cost, speed and environmental benefits as compared to the traditional construction practices, suffers from inefficient and often troublesome material delivery by pumping cementitious material through hoses or pipes. The present application addresses the need for a consistent and discrete payload delivery between a source and a moving destination. The invention describes an aerial tram delivery system that provides real-time, on-demand, and discrete transportation of material from a material source to the moving destination printheads of the construction 3D printer. Such discrete delivery of material is applicable and beneficial to other applications as described.

MARINE-ENVIRONMENT, EMERGENCY-EGRESS SYSTEM AND METHOD
20170327129 · 2017-11-16 ·

Emergency egress systems carry multiple riders simultaneously accessing a zip line (catenary) from higher, accessible, working locations to lower, safer areas in a marine environment. Hangers above the track line suspend trolleys to avoid weighting the catenary unduly at the high end, which might otherwise alter (reduce) clearance distances and safety of riders above a launch platform (deck). Catenary shape is controlled against approaching the launch deck by sequencing the release from the hangers of each trolley to roll along the catenary with its own rider. Track line systems installed may be left undeployed indefinitely. Deployment of a track line will typically be fully effected at the time of egress, adding time but eliminating permanent obstructions that would result if a permanent deployment of track lines were undertaken. Terminal ends are anchored and configured to accommodate workers arriving after escape.

A funicular intended particularly for transporting heavy loads between an upstream station (10) and a downstream station (12), comprises a railway track (14) connecting the upstream station (10) to the downstream station (12) and a vehicle (16) running on the track (14) and drawn by at least one towing cable (30). The vehicle comprises a chassis (50) defining a median longitudinal vertical plane that rests on at least one pendulum running gear, comprising two independent lateral pendulum devices (60) each comprising a secondary pendulum (62) articulated in relation to the chassis (50) and two primary pendulums, each articulated in relation to the secondary pendulum (62). Each lateral pendulum device (60) comprises a plate (64) connected to the chassis (50) via one or several jacks (66) to which the secondary pendulum device (62) is articulated.

Cable transportation system

A cable transportation system comprising: a first terminal station; a second terminal station; a plurality of transporting units moved between the terminal stations; at least one supporting cable for supporting the transporting units between the terminal stations; wherein the supporting cable comprises a first end housed inside the first terminal station and a second end housed inside the second terminal station; a first anchor device for anchoring the first end of the supporting cable inside the first terminal station; a second anchor device for anchoring the second end of the supporting cable inside the second terminal station; wherein the anchor devices are configured to selectively block the ends of the supporting cable inside the respective terminal stations and to enable a stepped sliding of the supporting cable between the terminal stations.

Movable crawl space container

A movable crawl space container comprises a body portion and two amounts of rope that extend from opposite sides of the container. The container has an opening and retains needed equipment within the confines of the container. The container has pointed edges near the first end of the container and near the second end of the container that assist the container in traversing corners and other obstacles found in typical crawl spaces. Sides of the container converge towards rope connection portions on both ends of the container. A worker, such as a plumber, can pull the container down into the crawl space and easily move around the crawl space pulling the container as desired. By placing all the necessary tools in the container, the plumber is able to visit various work sites while maintaining access to tools and other desired items stored in the container.
