DUAL CABLE ZIPLINE TROLLEY TRANSFER SYSTEM
This invention is a gravity powered Dual Cable Zipline Trolley Transfer System comprising, a dual cable zipline trolley and dual cable zipline transfer unit which work in conjunction of each other. The trolley comprises tandem wheels that traverse over the dual cables and are pivoted in the center to allow the trolley to pass smoothly over the transfer unit, which is suspended on support structures. Unlike the traditional zipline which has a path between two stations, this system is designed to allow the participant to travel in a continuous uninterrupted path without the need to detach from one cable to another in order to sustain the journey beyond the station. The transfer unit is lengthened to create curves both horizontal and vertical. This invention eliminates the menacing sag in the cable that occurs over distance.
Ropeway Transport System
A ropeway or cable system is disclosed having at least two cable loops (1,20) that form a track, a first loop extending directly between two end station embarking or disembarking stations of the track, and a second loop extending between the two end stations via intermediate embarking or disembarking stations) or turning towers on the track. A vehicle (2) is carried from a loop, the vehicle (2) having a cable gripping mechanism (37, 38, 43, 44), the cable gripping mechanism being capable of switching attachment of the vehicle between two or more cable loops (1,20), so as to change the loop that carries the vehicle (2).
AERIAL CABLE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH A SYSTEM
An aerial cable transportation system comprising: at least one hauling cable; a first fixed structure; at least one transportation unit; a plurality of sensors configured for detecting the passage of the transportation units; a control unit; wherein the plurality of sensors comprises at least a first sensor arranged at the exit area of the first fixed structure and at least a second sensor downstream of the first sensor, respectively, at is least a distance s1 from the first sensor measured in cable-meters; wherein the control unit is connected to the sensors and is configured for: upon the passage of each transportation unit at the first sensor, starting to count the meters of cable fed outside the first fixed structure; when the counting of the meters of cable fed outside the first fixed structure reaches amounts about equal to the at least one distance s1, autonomously activating safety procedures if the passage of the transportation unit is not detected by each corresponding second sensor downstream of the first sensor.
Hybrid cable/rail transportation system
A hybrid cable/rail transportation system comprising: at least one portion of the system configured as a cable transportation system; at least one portion of the system configured as a rail transportation system, a first trolley coupled to the supporting cable and comprising a first coupling device for coupling to the cabin; a second trolley coupled to the rail and comprising a second coupling device for coupling to the cabin; a plurality of transportation units wherein each transportation unit comprises a cabin, each cabin comprising a roof provided with a coupling system configured for coupling the cabin to the first trolley along the system portion configured as a cable transportation system and to the second trolley along the system portion configured as a rail transportation system; wherein the coupling system arranged on the roof of the cabin, the first coupling device of the first trolley and the second coupling device of the second trolley are configured for allowing a progressive passage of the cabin from the first to the second trolley, or vice-versa, without stopping the support.

Method for operating a cableway
In order to simplify the troubleshooting in a cableway during operation of the cableway, a unique car identification is assigned to each car, with the car identification of each car being known by the cableway control system. At least one function monitoring unit transmits malfunctions triggered by cars during the operation of the cableway to the cableway control system in a function status message FSi. The cableway control system assigns a malfunction that was received to the triggering car and the malfunctions together with the car identification of the triggering car are stored and evaluated in the cableway control system.
