VEHICLE SEAT WITH IMPROVED STORAGE SPACE AND ASSOCIATED VEHICLE
The invention relates to a vehicle (10) seat (22), comprising: a seat bottom (26); a backrest (28) secured to the seat bottom (26), and at least one leg (32) supporting the seat bottom (26).
The leg (32) comprises at least three segments (44, 46, 48), including: a first segment (44) fastened to the lower face (40) of the seat bottom (26), a second segment (46) fastened to the floor (20, 21) of the vehicle (10), and a third segment (48) joining the first segment (44) and the second segment (46).
The third segment (48) is arranged so that the leg (32) defines a housing (50) between the seat bottom (26) and the floor (20, 21).
The housing (50) is able to accommodate at least one piece of carry-on luggage (52) such that it does not protrude by more than 100 mm from the front edge (34) or the rear edge (36) of the seat bottom (26).
Vehicle
Provided is a vehicle including the following: a vehicle body having side walls on both sides in a width direction that is perpendicular to the direction of travel, and having an expanded portion between the upper end and the lower end of the side wall, the expanded portion being expanded further outward in the width direction than the upper end and the lower end; and a seat provided in the vehicle body and having a seatback along the side wall and a seat surface that extends inward in the width direction of the vehicle body from the seatback, the portion of the rear surface of the seatback that faces the side wall and that protrudes the farthest towards the side wall being disposed in a position facing the expanded portion of an in-vehicle-side lateral surface of the side wall.
RAILBIKES WITH REVERSIBLE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL
Railbikes configured to transport passengers on a railway are provided. The railbikes are propelled by the passengers, using foot pedals. The railbikes are equipped with passenger seats whose orientation can be reversed quickly and easily the passengers. Also, the railbikes includes reversible clutches that permit the passengers to pedal in opposite directions, depending on the desired direction of travel of the railbikes. Thus, the direction of travel of the railbikes can be reversed without a need to lift the railbikes off of the underlying rails to physically reorient the railbikes in the opposite direction; and without a need for a turntable or other specialized railway equipment to turn the railbike.
Seating arrangement for a front end of a monorail car
A head monorail car having a front end and a rear end comprises a body, a front load wheel proximate the front end, a rear load wheel proximate the rear end and a seat installed in a passenger area. The front load wheel and the rear load wheel are laterally centered in the body and at least partially protrude through the floor in the passenger area. The first seat is longitudinally installed at least partially between the front end of the monorail car and a spinning axis of the front wheel.
