Eddy-current rail brake device
An eddy-current rail brake device includes a row of magnets, a supporting member, a case, and a lifting device. The row of magnets includes a plurality of permanent magnets that are arranged in a traveling direction of a railroad car. To the supporting member, the row of magnets is mounted. The supporting member has magnetism. The case houses the row of magnets and the supporting member and includes a bottom portion that faces the row of magnets and is non-magnetic. The lifting device raises and lowers the supporting member inside the case while the row of magnets is kept facing the bottom portion. The eddy-current rail brake device can prevent or reduce adhesion of a foreign object and can be reduced in size in a right-left direction.

MAGNETIC TRACK BRAKE HAVING A HIGH-POSITION DETECTING MEANS INSTALLED IN OR ON THE ACTUATION CYLINDER
A magnetic track braking device for a rail vehicle includes at least one pressure-medium-actuated actuation cylinder, which has a cylinder housing and an actuation piston movable relative to the cylinder housing, at least one magnet apparatus, which can be lowered into a low position onto a rail by the at least one actuation cylinder to generate, by a magnetic short circuit with the rail, a magnetic attractive force between the rail and the at least one magnet apparatus, and which can be placed, by the actuation cylinder, into a high position raised from the rail and into any intermediate positions between the low position and the high position; at least one high-position detecting apparatus, which generates a high-position signal when the high position is assumed by the at least one magnet apparatus.
RUNNING GEAR FOR A RAIL VEHICLE, COMPRISING A MAGNETIC RAIL BRAKE AND A CENTERING DEVICE, MAGNETIC RAIL BRAKE AND CENTERING DEVICE
A running gear for a rail vehicle includes a magnetic rail brake. A centering device is provided by which vibrations can be damped to a high degree, and which has a low-cost structure. The magnetic rail brake can have a lifting device, a track rod and a coil attached to the track rod. The coil and the track rod can be moved between a low position and a high position by means of the lifting device. A centering device includes a centering means arranged on the track rod and a centering means receptacle arranged on the running gear. The centering means engages the centering means receptacle in the high position. The centering device comprises a damping element. The damping element is arranged between the track rod and the centering means.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ELECTROMAGNETIC RAIL BRAKE, ELECTROMAGNETIC RAIL BRAKE AND RAIL VEHICLE
A device configured to operate an electromagnetic rail brake, comprising: a tank configured to store a hydraulic fluid, a pressure accumulator, a pump device configured to the feed the hydraulic fluid from the tank to the pressure accumulator in order to load the pressure accumulator with a pressure, a brake connection that is coupled or couplable with the pressure accumulator in order to provide a brake pressure to the additional brake device of the rail vehicle; and a suspension connection to a hydraulic device of a two stage suspension, wherein the suspension connection is coupled or couplable with the pressure accumulator in order to provide the actuation pressure to the hydraulic device.
HOLDING DEVICE FOR AN ELECTROMAGNETIC RAIL BRAKE OF A RAIL VEHICLE, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A HOLDING DEVICE
A holding device for an electromagnetic rail brake of a rail vehicle, the holding device comprising: a holding element including a spring configured to support the holding device at a chassis of the rail vehicle; a movable actuation bolt connected with the holding element and couplable with the electromagnetic rail brake; and a hydraulic unit connected with the holding element and the actuation bolt, wherein the hydraulic unit is configured to move the actuation bolt between an idle position in which the electromagnetic rail brake is inactive during operations of the rail vehicle and an active position in which the electromagnetic rail brake is active during operation of the rail vehicle in response to hydraulic fluid flowing into the hydraulic unit or hydraulic fluid flowing out of the hydraulic unit.
