A cart generally includes a body, a wheel assembly, first and second handles, and a scoop. The body defines an interior usable for holding materials. The body includes a forward portion and a rearward portion. The wheel assembly includes at least one axle and first and second wheels. Each of the first and second handles includes a handle portion to allow a user to move the cart and a leg portion for contacting a support surface. The scoop is rotatable relative to the body between a plurality of positions including at least a forward position and a rearward position. In the forward position, the scoop is adjacent the forward portion of the body, whereby the scoop increases carrying capacity of the cart. In the rearward position, the scoop is disposed at least partially over and/or adjacent the rearward portion of the body.

The bins may or may not have lids, which may or may not be attached to the bins. The device may optionally include a combined drying table and water return surface adapted to route water, e.g. dripping from wet tools, back to the water bins. The drying table may include a grated surface that is more or less horizontal while assembled in a working configuration. The grated surface may be above a downwardly sloped surface adapted to return water that has fallen through the grated surface back to the bins. When work is complete, the bins may be emptied of water, cleaned, and used for tool storage.

The lid is positioned to selectively close the bucket to inhibit material from being removed from the bucket. The lid is positioned in an open position to facilitate the material to be removed from the bucket. A pair of hinges is provided and each of the hinges is coupled to the lid. Each of the hinges releasably engages the bucket such that the lid is removably coupled to the wheelbarrow.

A semipermanent enclosure for a wheelbarrow is used to allow building contractors, installers and the like, some of which already have wheelbarrows, to affix the enclosure to the wheelbarrow in a convenient manner for use as a semi-secure storage box which may be left on site and accessed relatively easily. The enclosure has a plastic body having a dome portion surrounded by a wheelbarrow edge engaging periphery portion. The dome portion rises upwardly from the periphery portion so as to increase storage space there underneath, especially for tools, equipment and the like piled above the edge of the wheelbarrow. The periphery may comprise a forward engagement which locks under the front edge of the wheelbarrow rim and which are secured at a rear thereof using fasteners penetrating the periphery and the adjacent rim of the wheelbarrow. The periphery may be sized and shaped to suit most commercial wheelbarrow rim sizings.

Adapter apparatus for transporting a ladder with a hand truck of the type having wheels and a laterally extending toe plate for supporting an item thereon is provided. The apparatus includes a ladder support configured for receiving a portion of a ladder thereof and at least one hand truck attachment. A first end of the at least one hand truck attachment is coupled to the ladder support. A second opposing end of the at least one hand truck attachment is configured for securely engaging a toe plate of a hand truck. At least a portion of a weight of the ladder is transferred onto the toe plate of the hand truck when the ladder is transported on the hand truck with the ladder support contacting the ladder thereof.

A wheelbarrow (10) including a receptacle (12) comprising a tub for carrying a load of material; a wheel assembly facilitating movement of the wheelbarrow; a handle for controlling operation of the wheelbarrow; and a plurality of removable compartments (18, 19) located within the receptacle (12), each for containing a portion of the load of material. The receptacle (12) and each removable compartment (18, 19) are configured to interact with each other so as to, in use, hinder movement of each comportment (18, 19) relative to the receptacle (12).
