The detachable cab comprises an enclosure to house the operator, an independent flotation system and a detachment apparatus configured for detachment of the cab from the amphibious vehicle. Additional safety features to avoid injury, or sustain life, of the operator in the detached cab are also provided.

The protective enclosure or cab includes an inflatable frame structure which supports a plurality of transparent, flexible windows or a single sheet of transparent material such as a curtain. When inflated, the protective cab is detachably coupled to the walk-behind or mechanical device and surrounds an operator of the walk-behind or mechanical device protecting the operator from the environment such wind, rain, snow or the like, while providing an unobstructed view of the surrouding environment. When deflated, the protective enclosure or cab can be folded into a small volume to be placed in a storage device which can be coupled to the walk-behind or mechanical device.

The duct includes, at a portion forward of the driver, an outlet to blow conditioned air toward the driver.

Universal mounts for canopies to rollover protection bars of varied attitudes

A universal mount for installing a canopy onto work vehicle ROPS (roll bars) that have left and right downward extensions and a bridging element between the left and right downward extensions. A clamp secures the universal mount onto a ROPS, and a crossbar attached to the clamp extends parallel to the bridging element. The crossbar has plates on each opposed end. Each crossbar plate has at least one slot adapted to receive a fastener. Offset plates can be mounted to a peripheral frame of a canopy. The universal mount can be clamped to a ROPS. The canopy fastens to the crossbar by aligning holes on the offset plates affixed to the canopy with the slots in the crossbar plates, passing fasteners through the aligned hole and slot, adjusting the canopy attitude to a desired orientation by positioning fasteners at a selected position in the slots.

Further, the machine has a modular sensor bay configured to be attached to the chassis. The modular sensor bay includes a position sensor configured to determine a position of the machine. The modular sensor bay also includes an imaging device configured to generate an image of at least a portion of surroundings of the machine. The modular sensor bay includes a control module configured to control operations of position sensor and the imaging device. In addition, the modular sensor bay includes a harness configured to electrically connect the modular sensor bay with the machine control module.
