Electromechanical Dual Steering System for a Utility Vehicle
An electromechanical dual steering system for a utility vehicle includes two steering systems, each having a drive unit for actuating one steering linkage each for wheels of the utility vehicle. Each drive unit has an electric motor. The dual steering system has a main power supply for supplying the electric motors with energy. The electromechanical dual steering system is characterized in that the dual steering system has at least one emergency power supply for supplying at least one electric motor with energy in the event that the main power supply fails.

A steer by wire type steering apparatus according to the embodiments of the present disclosure may comprise a screw shaft having an outer screw portion formed on an outer circumferential surface and rotating in association with a steering shaft, a moving member having an inner screw portion corresponding to the outer screw portion formed on the inner circumferential surface, coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the screw shaft, moving in the axial direction when the screw shaft is rotated, and provided with a radially protruding guide portion on the outer circumferential surface, and a housing provided with a guide groove in which the guide portion is inserted and supported on an inner circumferential surface.
REAR WHEEL STEERING SYSTEM
A rear wheel steering motor generates rotational force. A movement converter has a converting portion coupled to the wheel steering motor and configured to convert the rotational force transmitted from the rear wheel steering motor into a linear movement. An MR fluid is applied on the converting portion. An inverter controls driving of the rear wheel steering motor. A magnet switch works in concert with the inverter to change a magnetic field to selectively provide the magnetic field to the MR fluid of the movement converter.

A steering actuator for a steering system for a motor vehicle may include an actuator rod that can be displaced in translation in a longitudinal direction thereof and a position sensor apparatus that is constructed to detect a linear position of the actuator rod. In order to enable less complex production and a higher level of operational reliability, the position sensor apparatus may include a rotation sensor that has a sensor shaft that can be rotated about an axis and that has a running wheel that can roll on a corresponding linear track of the actuator rod to convert a translational movement of the actuator rod into a rotation of the sensor shaft.

In a steer-by-wire steering apparatus according to embodiments of the present invention, a structure for preventing rotation of a sliding bar in order to allow the sliding bar to slide in the axial direction by the torque of a motor or a structure for determining a position to which the sliding bar moves can be more simply implemented, whereby the number of components can be reduced, the assembly process can be simplified, and the cost can be significantly reduced.

Provided is a control device (14) for a power steering device including a steering mechanism (1) configured to transmit rotation of a steering wheel to a steered wheel, and an electric motor (13) configured to apply a steering force to the steering mechanism. The control device includes: a command signal calculation part (61) configured to calculate a motor command signal (Io) for control of driving of the electric motor, based on a state of steering of the steering wheel, and output the command signal to the electric motor; a vibration signal receiving part (69) configured to receive a vibration signal of the power steering device; and an abnormality determination part (63) configured to determine whether or not the power steering device is abnormal, based on a Y-axis acceleration signal (Gy) received by the vibration signal reception part.

An electric multi-mode steer-by-wire system and a mode switching method thereof. The electric multi-mode steer-by-wire system includes a steering hand wheel unit including a steering hand wheel, a road-feeling motor, a reducer and an electromagnetic clutch, a steering execution unit including two steering electric motor mechanisms, a steering gear and two steering road wheels, an electronic control unit configured to control the steering hand wheel unit and the steering execution unit to achieve switching among two-side steering-road-wheel independent steer-by-wire mode, steering-trapezoidal steer-by-wire mode and electric power steering mode, and a mode selection and display unit. The electromagnetic clutch connected to the steering execution unit. The steering electric motor mechanisms drive the steering road wheels to steer independently through lead screw-nut pairs; or respectively form a hydraulic cylinder with the steering gear to jointly or independently drive the steering road wheels to steer with steering-trapezoidal manner.

A steering system includes a housing, a steering operation shaft that is housed in the housing and configured to move in an axial direction to steer right and left steered wheels, a first drive source that generates a first drive force, a second drive source that generates a second drive force, a first power transfer unit that applies an axial force to the steering operation shaft with the first drive source, a second power transfer unit that applies an axial force to the steering operation shaft with the second drive force, a position detection sensor that is provided in the housing and detects an axial position of the steering operation shaft, and a control device that controls the first drive source and the second drive source using a detection result of the position detection sensor.
