Information processing device and information processing method
A center of gravity of a robot device is estimated without utilization of a force sensor or the like. An information processing device including a center-of-gravity estimation unit that calculates, on the basis of torque applied to one or more joints included in each of a plurality of leg portions, reaction force applied from a ground contact surface to each of the plurality of leg portions, and that estimates a center of gravity of a robot device including the plurality of leg portions on the basis of the calculated reaction force on the plurality of leg portions.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING GAIT OF BIPED ROBOT
A method and a device for controlling a gait of a biped robot. The method includes: selecting gait controlling parameters, and acquiring a movement trajectory of a center of mass when a zero moment point of the biped robot is located within a steady area; obtaining first numerical values of each of the gait controlling parameters of the center of mass and second numerical values of the center of mass; setting a first constraint condition when the step starting phase ends by using the first numerical values, and setting a second constraint condition when the step ending phase starts by using the second numerical values; calculating the movement trajectories of the center of mass in the step starting phase and the step ending phase on the basis of the first constraint condition and the second constraint condition, respectively; and controlling a walking of the biped robot.

ROBOT AND METHOD FOR USE OF ROBOT
A robot includes a main body, a handlebar disposed on the main body and grippable by a user, a detection unit that detects a load applied to the handlebar, a moving device including a rotating body and moving the robot by controlling the rotation of the rotating body, and a switching unit that switches a support mode for supporting the user with walking. The support mode includes a first mode in which the robot autonomously moves to guide the user who is walking and a second mode in which the robot moves in accordance with a first load detected by the detection unit. When the robot moves in the first mode, the switching unit switches the support mode from the first mode to the second mode on the basis of the second load detected by the detection unit.

Omega wire routing
A robot includes an input link, an output link, and a wire routing. The output link is coupled to the input link at an inline twist joint where the output link is configured to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the output link relative to the input link. The wire routing traverses the inline twist joint to couple the input link and the output link. The wire routing includes an input link section, an output link section, and an omega section. A first position of the wire routing coaxially aligns at a start of the omega section on the input link with a second position of the wire routing at an end of the omega section on an output link.
