SMALL WATERCRAFT MOORING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A watercraft mooring device is provided. The mooring device provides a rigid body extending between a rigid hook portion and an elastic loop connectable to the watercraft. The rigid hook portion has a distal end that transitions by way of a curvature to a proximal end rigidly connected to the rigid body. A foam layer may encase the rigid body, giving floatation properties to the mooring device as well as bumper capabilities. The prong of the hook portion is dimensioned and adapted to slide through a slot of a cleat or the like on a docking structure, whereby the curvature enables a pivotal connection so that the loop end of mooring device may move vertically out of plane with the cleat slot, while the rigidity of the hook portion and the rigid body of the mooring device keeps the watercraft spaced apart from the docking structure.
DOCK LINE MANAGEMENT APPARATUS
A dock line management device is provided. The dock line management device includes a tube which is rotatable about at least one axis and which is hollow for receiving a dock line.
Boat dock mooring system
A boat mooring system utilizing a cylinder having an internal spring-like mechanism that allows a retaining rope to lengthen or shorten automatically to adjust for rising tide or high wind to retain a boat at a safe distance from a dock or pier.
Adjustable height spring-biased support pole
A spring-biased support pole 10 for supporting a boat cover 40 over a boat during transport of the boat as well as docking of the boat. The support pole comprises a base 14 and a support rod system 100 connected to the base. The support rod system comprises at least two support rod sections 110, 120 that are telescopically connected to one another and a spring 20. The spring is positioned between the telescoping connection of a first support rod section and a second support rod section, such that the spring controls vertical movement of the second support rod section with respect to the first support rod section and provides a biasing force that is applied to the second support rod section and to the cover supported by the support pole.
MOORING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
The present invention provides an improved device for attaching a watercraft to another structure such as another watercraft or a fixed structure, such as a dock. The apparatus comprises a spacing bar and specialized, quick connecting and releasing attachment devices that allow the watercraft to be quickly and effectively moored to other structures on the water without the risk of collision or damage to the watercraft. The quick-connect devices may be positioned near ends of the spacing bars to effectively hold the watercraft at a predetermined distance from the other structure. The device may further include tensioning mechanisms that are operable to keep the spacing bars at a substantially orthogonal orientation relative to the watercraft to maintain the pre-determined spacing between the watercraft and the other structure.
Method for the Maintenance of Wind Turbine Towers by means of Auxiliary Floating Systems
Methods for the maintenance of a marine structure having a wind turbine and at least one essentially vertical shaft are described. The methods include the use of an auxiliary floating system having: at least one floating element that remains semisubmerged throughout the process of maintaining the marine structure; at least one coupling structure that connects the system to the floating structure; and contact elements and tightening elements, wherein the contact and tightening elements are secured to the coupling structure and are intended to solidly connect the system to the shaft. Advantageously, this solid connection allows operations for the maintenance of the marine structure to be carried out in a manner that is efficient and safe for maintenance workers and for the systems involved in the operations.
System for Stabilizing a Vessel Against a Stationary Object
Vessel (60), comprising a transverse bow (62) with an elongated bow fender (10) protruding with respect to the bow (62), which bow fender (10) is designed to be pushed against a stationary object (50), said vessel 60) further comprises at least two engagement arms (20) with telescopic parts (22,24), said engagements arms (20) are mounted in a position above the bow fender (10) and facing each other, and each engagement arm (20) is pivotable against each other for engagement with the stationary object (50) from opposite directions. Each engagement arm (20) comprises a tiltable engagement pad (26) with a contacting surface (26a) creating stabilizing contact between the contacting surfaces (26a) of the engagement pads (26) and at least a part of the stationary object (50), said engagement pads (26) being tiltable about an axis running in same longitudinal direction as the engagement arms (20).
SUCTIONING WATERCRAFT FENDER
A suctioning watercraft fender attaches to a watercraft while the watercraft is in a mooring state. The watercraft fender may couple a first watercraft to a second watercraft or a first watercraft to a fixed surface. The watercraft fender includes a body defining a longitudinal axis, wherein the body includes first and second opposing ends. The fender further includes a first coupling member coupled to the first end of the body. The first coupling member includes a first suction cup and a first pressure mount actuatable to selectively lock or release the first suction cup from a first surface.
Mooring device
A mooring device including: a strut with a first end and a second end; a first head; a pivot mount; a first suction cup; a rotating mount; a second head; a second suction cup; a rod; and a flotation cover sleeve. The pivot mount allows the first head to pivot about a first head axis and therefore to rotate relative to the strut. The rotating mount allows the suction cup to rotate about a second axis relative to the strut. The flotation cover sleeve having a buoyancy sufficient to render the entire apparatus positively buoyant in water.
