SONOBUOY CARTRIDGE PERCUSSION APPARATUS
Disclosed herein is a sonobuoy cartridge percussion apparatus. A sonobuoy cartridge percussion apparatus according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a CO.sub.2 cartridge filled with CO.sub.2 gas; a percussion ram configured to hit one end of the CO.sub.2 cartridge; a spring configured to enable the percussion ram to hit the CO.sub.2 cartridge by applying force to the percussion ram; a CO.sub.2 cartridge fastening body configured such that a spring reception hole is formed therein to enable the spring to be compressed and inserted into the spring reception hole; and a thread-shaped fastening member configured such that one end thereof is wound around the percussion ram and the other end thereof is passed through the spring reception hole, wherein the fastening member compresses the spring, and is fastened to a stop protrusion formed on the CO.sub.2 cartridge fastening body.
AMPHIBIOUS UNMANNED PATROL VEHICLE CAPABLE OF REAL-TIME COMMUNICATION
The amphibious unmanned patrol vehicle includes a buoy, a waterproof cable and a submersible amphibious vehicle. An end of the waterproof cable is connected to a first controller of the buoy; and another end thereof is connected to a second controller of the submersible amphibious vehicle. A bottom end of the buoy is connected to a top end of the submersible amphibious vehicle which is configured to realize movement and operation of a whole system. The waterproof cable is configured to connect the submersible amphibious vehicle, and the buoy configured to ensure real-time communication between the submersible amphibious vehicle and an external environment during operation of the submersible amphibious vehicle. A height difference between an upper surface and a lower surface of the automatic reeling and unreeling cable device is equal to a thickness of the waterproof cable. The length of the waterproof cable is adjusted automatically in real time.
Sonobuoy volumetric array deployment module
A deployment module according to the present application enables both compact stowage of a sensor array and expansion of the sensor array into a three-dimensional volumetric array shape that enables improved directionality of the sensors during operation. The deployment module includes a support shell that is configured to retain a cable of the sensor array separately from sensors of the sensor array and an expandable deployment body formed of a superelastic shape memory alloy that uses superelasticity and stored energy for deployment of the sensor array. During deployment, the deployment body is removed from the support shell and the sensors are subsequently pulled out of the support shell. The deployment body then expands and holds the cable to retain the three-dimensional volumetric shape of the deployed array.
Systems and methods for the measurement of contaminants in water
The invention generally relates to the measurement and predictions of conditions and contaminants; chemical, particulate and gaseous in and around water impoundments. More specifically, the invention relates to the use of an autonomous watercraft to analyze the chemical and physical properties of a body of water, such as a pond holding water used in a hydraulic fracturing operation.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRACKING LOCATION USING CONTROL PLATFORM OF SMALL BUOY FOR SIMULATING MARINE POLLUTANTS
This application relates to an apparatus for tracking location using a control platform of a small buoy for simulating marine pollutants, in which at least one small observation buoy floats on the ocean, and a relay buoy collects location information from the observation buoy and provides the collected location information to a weather information management server. The apparatus may include at least one observation buoy and a relay buoy, the observation buoy including a GPS receiver which receives a signal transmitted from a GPS satellite and generate location information. The apparatus may also include a communicator performing wireless transmission and reception of signals with the relay buoy, and a power source providing driving power to the GPS receiver and the communicator. The relay buoy may receive location information from the at least one observation buoy and provide the received location information to a weather information management server.
SONAR DEVICE
A sonar device includes a support having negative buoyancy and a linear acoustic reception antenna comprising an elongated body that is elongated from a first end to a second end, the elongated body being connected by the first end at a connection point that is fixed relative to the support, the sonar device being able to be in a reception configuration, wherein the antenna body and the support are fully submerged and wherein the antenna body is able to be in a vertical orientation, wherein it extends substantially vertically from the first end to the second end toward the seabed, the sonar device comprising orientation adjustment means for adjusting, when the sonar device is in the reception configuration and the support is fixed relative to the terrestrial reference frame, an angle of elevation and an azimuth of the second end in the reference frame connected to the support centered on the connection point.
MOBILE OCEAN EXPLORATION PLATFORM
This invention is an apparatus that can be intermittently bottom moored and moved with buoyancy as it uses its sensors to collect data in deep ocean water. In one embodiment of the invention, the apparatus includes one or more floats, buoyancy engines, payload sensors, depth sensors and electronics. The electronics provide the power and, among other things, control the transmission of data from and the reception of information by the apparatus. An anchor is used to moor the apparatus at desired locations. When not moored, the apparatus drifts with the currents at the depth at which the apparatus is then positioned, with the movement being directed by current flow of the water. The movement of the apparatus is guided with knowledge of the currents and tides (it is not random).
HYPERSONIC AND UNDERWATER THREAT-SENSING SYSTEM
Maritime threat-sensing buoys include sensors—such as acoustic, radio frequency, visual, or other sensing devices—that track, identify, or classify hypersonic or underwater threats in real time. Some examples of suitable sensing devices include microphones, radio-frequency (“RF”) detectors (for example, RF antennas), infrared detectors, and machine-vision detectors. The maritime threat-sensing buoys may be deployed using aerial or maritime vessels, and may host payloads, such as threat-sensing mechanisms, batteries to power the threat-sensing mechanisms, solar panels configured to deliver electricity or other energy to the batteries or other devices, and other cargo or contents.
