MARINE VESSEL CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A SHALLOW WATER ANCHOR

A marine vessel control system operable to be used with a shallow water anchor and a motor. The marine vessel control system comprising a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to receive a user command to maintain a position of a marine vessel, receive sonar data, determine a water depth relative to a water bottom based on the sonar data in response to receiving the user command, and transmit a command to use the shallow water anchor and/or the motor based on the water depth.

CONTAINER SHIP AND LAYOUT STRUCTURE THEREOF

A container ship and a layout structure thereof are disclosed. In the layout structure of the container ship of the present invention, an engine room, in which a propulsion engine receiving LNG as fuel is provided, is disposed under a main deck at the stern of the container ship, an LNG storage tank storing the LNG is disposed in a cargo hold adjacent to the engine room, a fuel supply part for receiving the LNG from the LNG storage tank and supplying the LNG to the propulsion engine is disposed right above the LNG storage tank inside the cargo hold, and a void space isolating the LNG storage tank and the fuel supply part from each other is disposed therebetween.

A propeller drive assembly for transferring a torque between an engine and at least one propeller of a water surface vessel includes a plurality of lubrication clients. The propeller drive assembly includes a first lubrication system arranged to house a first lubricant, dedicated for lubrication of at least one first of the lubrication clients, and a second lubrication system arranged to house a second lubricant, dedicated for lubrication of at least one second of the lubrication clients, the at least one second lubrication client includes a seal arranged to seal the second lubrication system from a body of water surrounding at least a portion of the propeller drive assembly, the second lubrication system being arranged to transport the second lubricant to the seal.

Flat anchor with claws
10766575 · 2020-09-08 ·

An attachment of a stockless anchor on the sea floor encourages flukes to tilt as soon as the vessel pulls away, while maintaining stability on the floor. The weight of the flukes act as a pivot with the crown of the stockless anchor that, when placed on the floor, causes the anchor to become attached by being buried in the floor when the vessel pulls away. The attachment comprises two claws fastened to the flanks of the flukes at or in close proximity of the crown on the pivot axis of the flukes, thereby enabling them to tilt and become attached immediately in the floor as soon as the anchor is placed on the floor. When the vessel pulls away the anchor is open and becomes attached immediately. An attachment to the floor avoids or reduces dragging of the anchor on the floor.
