SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FUMIGATING A VESSEL WITH EXHAUST
An exhaust conduit for a cargo vessel. The exhaust conduit is a flexible conduit with a first upstream opening adapted to engage with an exhaust structure and a second downstream opening for exhausted air. The exhaust conduit is inflatable due to the passage of exhausted air and the downstream opening is of smaller cross-sectional area than the upstream opening. The downstream opening is of adjustable cross-sectional area. In a system for fumigating a RORO vessel, the inflatable exhaust is inflatable to a height exceeding the height of the accomodation block. In a method of fumigating a RORO vessel, the method includes providing a temporary flexible exhaust for exhausting fumigant from the cargo area, and/or providing an inflatable exhaust for exhausting fumigant from the cargo area.
Apparatus and method for marine fueling from rail cars on a dock
This invention provides a method and apparatus for transporting marine fuel by rail car directly to a fueling vessel, by loading rail cars loaded with marine fuel onto a specially equipped roll-on/roll-off rail barge and transporting the barge by towboat to a mooring, where it is moored/secured in position, after mooring the barge will have the capability for offloading marine fuel from its rail cars via a barge-included distribution system to fuel a vessel. The barge may operate and be regulated as a fuel terminal when secured to the mooring.
Container transportation ship
The present invention relates to a container transportation ship. More particularly, the present invention relates to a container transportation ship for transporting containers, characterized in that a loading space in which at least one container is loaded and a loading/unloading space configured such that an external transfer means can directly enter/exit in order to load and unload the container, are delimited on the deck of the container transportation ship; and a crane is provided to move the container in the longitudinal direction of the container transportation ship, in the transverse direction thereof, and in the upward/downward direction thereof for the purpose of loading the container on the external transfer means that has entered the loading/unloading space or unloading the container from the external transfer means.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FUMIGATING A VESSEL WITH CREW PROTECTION
A methods and systems of fumigating a vessel include delivering fumigant to a cargo area of the vessel. In particular, the vessel may be a roll-on/roll-off vessel. In such a system, an air pressure system is provided for maintaining a selected minimum pressure differential between a selected area of the vessel above the cargo area and the cargo area, such that pressure of the selected area is greater than the cargo area. A control system may maintain the pressure differential.
Removable container shipping frame for vehicle
The present invention provides a removable frame system for transporting vehicles in a container. The frame system is be assembled in the container, the vehicles are loaded on the frame system, the container is shipped to the location, the vehicles are unloaded from the frame system, and the frame system is disassembled and returned to the manufacture or stored for later use.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATING CARGO SHIPMENT PLANNING FOR RO-RO SHIP
Disclosed are a method and system for automating cargo shipment planning for a roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) ship. The system may include a route search unit configured to compute a shipment route of a cargo using a cargo arrangement plan, a slot management unit configured to manage a shipment route along which a cargo of each slot indicative of a loading point in the cargo arrangement plan can be reached and to generate an optimum list of cargo loading target slots, and a shipment determination unit configured to receive the optimum list of cargo loading target slots from the slot management unit and to output information on whether to ship the cargo and a shipment position with reference to the optimum list of cargo loading target slots when the cargo to be shipped is input.
AMPHIBIOUS AIR-CUSHION VEHICLE WITH DUAL-RAIL CARGO SYSTEM
An amphibious air cushion vehicle includes an air cushion supported hull configured for travel on water and smooth land; a deck supported by the hull; and a dual-rail cargo system having tracks arranged longitudinally on along the hull cargo deck from an aft end. The tracks include (1) guide rails and rollers providing for guided sliding movement of palletized cargo along the tracks, and (2) locks for locking pallets in position during transport, The track is configured at the aft end for an unloading operation in which the locks are disengaged and the palletized cargo slides off the aft end onto underlying land as the vehicle is moving forward thereon. The track may be the one track of a single-track variant, or one of a pair of tracks in a two-track variant.
AMPHIBIOUS DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method includes: loading a vehicle onto a connector boat; loading the loaded connector boat onto the semi-submersible ship; transporting the semi-submersible ship having the loaded connector boat stored thereon to a location; taking water ballast onto the semi-submersible ship at the location; floating the loaded connector boat off of the semi-submersible ship; transporting the loaded connector boat to a second location; unloading the vehicle into water; and transporting the vehicle to a third location.
