Generation of Electrical Power Offshore
A floating power-generation group comprises a floating hub such as a spar buoy that is anchored to subsea foundations by anchor lines. Floating power producer units such as wind turbines are connected electrically and mechanically to the hub. The power producer units are each moored by mooring lines. At least one mooring line extends inwardly toward the hub to effect mechanical connection to the hub and at least one other mooring line extends outwardly toward a subsea foundation. The groups are combined as a set whose hubs are connected electrically to each other via subsea energy storage units. Anchor lines of different groups can share subsea foundations. The storage units comprise pumping machinery to expel water from an elongate storage volume and generating machinery to generate electricity from a flow of water entering the storage volume. The pumping machinery may be in deeper water than the generating machinery.
Hull penetration assembly, components thereof and methods related thereto
An improved hull penetration assembly, and various components thereof are provided. These include a hull penetration mount with braces thereon, as well as a hull penetration mount comprising a lower chamber and a removable hatch coupled thereto. These further include a kit comprising these and other improvements together with a plug insertion apparatus, an object delivery apparatus, a light delivery apparatus and a borescope apparatus.
System for transferring crude oil from an onshore location to a vessel
A system for transferring crude oil from an onshore location to an offshore vessel comprises a crude oil supply assembly for transferring the crude oil from an onshore oil supply to the vessel, and a vapor return assembly for transferring vapor from the vessel to a vapor processing facility. The vapor return assembly is provided with a fan configured to promote a flow of vapor through the vapor return assembly from the vessel towards the vapor processing facility. The system further is provided with a member for energizing the fan.

These further include a kit comprising these and other improvements together with a plug insertion apparatus, an object delivery apparatus, a light delivery apparatus and a borescope apparatus.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING ENERGY BY SHIP
[Problem] To efficiently transport an energy source such as electricity from a power generation facility to a reception facility without using a power transmission cable.
[Solution] An energy transportation system 100 comprises: a transportation ship 10 provided with a holding means for an energy source; a power generation facility 20 that supplies the energy source to the holding means of the transportation ship 10; and a reception facility 30 that receives the energy source supplied from the holding means of the transportation ship 10. Examples of the energy source held in the holding means of the transportation ship 10 include electricity and hydrogen.
VEHICLE CAPTURE AND ALIGNMENT SYSTEMS, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FLUID, DATA AND/OR POWER TRANSFER
Systems, apparatus, and methods for interconnecting two vehicles for the purposes of physical integration, data transfer and/or fluid transfer between the two vehicles. In one example, a system can include a carriage assembly that is deployable from the first vehicle for engagement with the second vehicle. The carriage assembly includes a nesting frame that stabilizes pitch, roll and yaw movements to the second vehicle. A transfer probe assembly is connected to the nesting frame and is deployable together with the nesting frame from the first vehicle. The transfer probe assembly includes a probe that is engageable with the second vehicle at the engaged position and at least one transfer mechanism that can transfer fluid, data, and/or power through the transfer probe assembly between the first vehicle and the second vehicle.

MOVING BODY AND POWER TRANSMISSION METHOD
Provided is a moving body used in a power transmission system that charges a storage battery mounted on the moving body with power generated by a power generation facility and feeds the power to a power receiving facility from the storage battery transported by the moving body. This moving body is provided with a battery control device that causes the storage battery to be charged with the supply of power based on a voltage value that does not reach a maximum voltage value of direct-current power between the power generation facility and the power receiving facility.
