PASSAGE ASSIST RAILING FOR BOAT
A passage assist provides a temporary support to stabilize passage of a person over a surface, such as in a boat. The passage assist can be a fold down railing that in a deployed position presents a handle or railing in a location to be easily grasped by a person walking on the adjacent surface, such as the deck of a boat. In a collapsed or stowed position, the fold down railing can be positioned completely out of the way so that it provides no impediment or barrier to movement on the surface. In the case of a boat, the fold down railing does not permanently occupy precious space within the boat.
Covering and method of forming a covering for a hatch door
A covering and a method of forming a covering for a hatch door or lid, e.g., the hatch door of a marine vehicle, such a boat or the like, is provided. The covering includes a central portion having a configuration corresponding to a configuration of the hatch door and a thickness. A flange projects from the central portion and has a thickness less than the thickness of the central portion. The flange movable between a first position wherein the flange lies in a first plane generally parallel to a first surface of the central portion and a second position wherein the flange is generally perpendicular to the first plane and defines a cavity in the covering for receiving the hatch door therein.

Aft-facing transom seating for a boat
A boat, having a stern, includes one or more inclined seats. Each inclined seat includes a seat bottom that is inclined at a downward angle in a direction extending from aft to fore and a seat back. The inclined seat may be movable to allow access to a compartment associated with the inclined seat. The inclined seat may be an aft-facing seat. The inclined seat may also include a headrest positioned above an upper portion of the seatback.

Aft-facing transom seating for a boat
A boat including one or more seats, which may be aft-facing. The seat includes a seat bottom, which may be movable between a first position and a second position. The second position is a position in which the seat bottom is pivoted upwardly relative to the position of the seat bottom in the first position to allow access to a hidden compartment. The seat may also include a leg rest. The leg rest may extend aft of the transom, and may extend in a direction that is at a downward angle relative to the seat bottom. The leg rest may also have a length such that a gap is present between the leg rest and a surface beneath the leg rest.

AFT-FACING TRANSOM SEATING FOR A BOAT
A boat, having a transom, includes one or more aft-facing seats. Each aft-facing seat is positioned proximate to the transom and includes a seat bottom that is inclined at a downward angle in a direction extending from aft to fore, a seatback, a headrest, a seat support structure having at least one hidden compartment therein, and at least one pivot mechanism attached to the seatback and the headrest and configured to allow the seatback to move between a first position in which the seatback is capable of supporting the back of a person seated in the seat and a second position in which the seatback is pivoted upwardly to allow access to the compartment and the headrest to move between an upright position and a folded position. A plurality of handles may be provided for each aft-facing seat, with one at an outboard side and another at an inboard side.
