OUTBOARD MOTOR AND MARINE VESSEL
An outboard motor includes a bracket, an outboard motor main body including an upper portion attachable to a hull via the bracket and a lower portion located below the upper portion and on which a propeller is provided, a first steering mechanism to rotate the upper portion in a right-left direction with respect to the hull, and a second steering mechanism to rotate the lower portion in the right-left direction with respect to the upper portion.
MARINE VESSEL MANEUVERING SYSTEM AND MARINE VESSEL
A marine vessel maneuvering system includes a controller configured or programmed to perform a propulsion reverse direction control to change a direction of a propulsive force of a propulsion generator to a reverse direction when a user operates an operator to turn a marine vessel either counterclockwise or clockwise and the marine vessel has been previously turned either clockwise or counterclockwise, respectively.
Outboard motors having steerable lower gearcase
An outboard motor has a powerhead that causes rotation of a driveshaft, a steering housing located below the powerhead, wherein the driveshaft extends from the powerhead into the steering housing; and a lower gearcase located below the steering housing and supporting a propeller shaft that is coupled to the driveshaft so that rotation of the driveshaft causes rotation of the propeller shaft. The lower gearcase is steerable about a steering axis with respect to the steering housing and powerhead.

POWER PADDLE
A portable propulsion system for a watercraft may include a shaft, a propeller, an outer casing, and a flexible strap. The shaft may have a prop end section, a drive end section, and a rotational axis extending from the prop end section to the drive end section. The propeller may be connected to the prop end section of the shaft. The drive end section may be configured for removable connection to a driver for rotation of the propeller via rotation of the shaft about the rotational axis to propel the watercraft. The outer casing may be disposed around the shaft. The flexible strap may have first and second end sections connected to the outer casing in respective first and second regions.

Marine propulsion device controller for starting/stopping engine, marine propulsion system including the same, and engine starter of marine propulsion device
A marine propulsion device controller includes a main operator that starts engines of all propulsion devices collectively with a simple operation and increases the degree of freedom of layout on a panel on which the main operator is disposed. The main operator is provided in common for all of the propulsion devices. The main operator receives a first operation and a second operation consecutively after receiving the first operation. All remote control ECUs are activated in response to receiving the first operation. The main operator outputs a collective start command to simultaneously start all the engines of the propulsion devices in response to receiving the second operation. Each remote control ECU starts the corresponding engine based on the collective start command.

DRIVE ARRANGEMENT FOR A MARINE VESSEL
A drive arrangement for a marine vessel. The drive arrangement includes an upper drive part configured to be mounted onto an outside of a transom of the marine vessel. A lower drive part is connected to the upper drive part to be fixed in a vertical direction in relation to the upper drive part. The lower drive part has a hydrodynamic configuration and is provided with at least one propeller. A transmission system is arranged to transfer a drive torque to the propeller from a drive source system connected to the transmission system. An outer surface of the upper drive part substantially is made up of a plurality of surface sections connected by one or more edges. Each of said surface sections has a shape corresponding to a so-called ruled surface that can be generated by the motion of a straight line.
MARINE DRIVE UNIT AND MARINE VESSEL
A hybrid marine drive unit mounted to a transom. The drive unit includes a drive housing mounted on the transom, a propelling unit rotatable about a vertical axis and mounted to a lower surface of the drive housing, and a transmission with at least a vertical drive shaft located in the drive housing and extending into the propelling unit. The vertical drive shaft is arranged transmit drive torque from at least one of multiple sources of drive torque. The vertical drive shaft is operably connected to a first source of drive torque arranged within the drive housing, and the vertical drive shaft is operably connected to a horizontal output shaft extending into the drive housing through the transom. The horizontal output shaft is connectable to a second source of drive torque.
