WATERCRAFT ADJUSTABLE SHAFT SPACING APPARATUS AND RELATED METHOD OF OPERATION
An outdrive for a marine vessel, such as a watercraft having an inboard engine, is provided. The outdrive can include a standoff box joined with a drive unit having a driveshaft that rotates in response to rotation of an input shaft coupled to an engine within a hull of the watercraft. The drive unit includes a propeller shaft that rotates in response to rotation of the driveshaft, and an associated propeller. The drive unit is vertically movable from a raised mode to a lowered mode, in which the propeller shaft is a preselected distance from a bottom of the boat hull, thereby lowering a thrust point produced by the propeller, all while the watercraft is moving through water and while the propeller is producing thrust. A related method and standoff box are also provided.

UTILIZING A GEAR BOX BREAK-IN ASSEMBLY
Techniques are directed to utilizing a break-in assembly to break-in a gear box. The break-in assembly includes a gear box support to support the gear box. The break-in assembly further includes a drive apparatus coupled with the gear box support, the drive apparatus being constructed and arranged to drive the gear box while the gear box is supported by the gear box support. The break-in assembly further includes a loading apparatus disposed in a fixed position relative to the gear box support, the loading apparatus being constructed and arranged to apply loading to the gear box while the drive apparatus drives the gear box. Accordingly, the gear box may be installed on the break-in assembly, broken in during a gear box break-in period while the gear box is installed on the break-in assembly, removed from the break-in assembly, and installed on a water vessel.

PROPELLER FOR VESSEL PROPULSION APPARATUS AND VESSEL PROPULSION APPARATUS
A propeller includes a bushing, a propeller body, and a propeller damper. The bushing includes a first cylinder portion surrounding the propeller shaft and a first projection protruding outwardly in a radial direction of the propeller from an outer peripheral surface of the first cylinder portion. The propeller body includes a second cylinder portion surrounding the bushing and a second projection protruding inwardly in the radial direction from an inner peripheral surface of the second cylinder portion. The first and second projections are arranged along a rotation direction of the propeller. The propeller damper includes first and second dampers side by side along an axial direction of the propeller between the first and second cylinders. The first and second dampers are separated from each other by a separation portion, and are individually elastically deformable.
