A legrest for an aircraft passenger seat, comprising a device, wherein: the device has a housing; the housing has a first and a second housing half; the two housing halves are pivotally connected to one another; the housing is designed such that a life jacket for an aircraft passenger can be stowed therein; the device is provided on a main structure of the legrest; the first housing half is spring-loaded with respect to the second housing half by the spring force of a spring device of the device, such that the first housing half can be moved from an open position relative to the second housing half towards a closed position relative to the second housing half.
LEGREST FOR AN AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEAT, COMPRISING A DEVICE
A legrest for an aircraft passenger seat, comprising a device, wherein: the device has a housing; the housing has two housing halves; the two housing halves are pivotally connected to one another; the housing is designed such that a life jacket for an aircraft passenger can be stowed therein; a seat cover for the aircraft passenger seat can be provided on one housing half, so that the device forms part of the usage surface of the legrest; and the device can be provided on a main structure of the legrest.
TAMPER DETECTION SYSTEM FOR RE-SEALABLE STORAGE CONTAINERS
A tamper detection system for a life vest storage container (10) on board a passenger aircraft (A), includes a receptacle (4) having an access opening with a closable lid (7); a first electrically conductive monitoring pad (1) formed on the closable lid (7); a second electrically conductive monitoring pad (2) formed on the receptacle (4); a non-conductive sealing member (3) including conductive patches of adhesive on the bottom side of two opposite edges of the sealing member and a conductive element leading between the two patches, the two patches applied to electrically conductive monitoring pads (1, 2); and a monitoring system (5) electrically coupled to the monitoring pads (1, 2) and configured to measure an electrical parameter associated with the electrically conductive path (C1, C2, CS) formed by the monitoring pads (1, 2) and the electrically conductive element within the sealing member (3).
LIFE VEST POUCH
Described herein is a life vest pouch for storage under an aircraft seat. The life vest pouch includes a closeable first opening for inserting a life vest into the pouch and a breakable seam for creating a second opening and permitting removal of a life vest from the pouch. Also described is an airline seat and row of airline seats comprising the life vest pouch.
Life vest device
A life vest device, for a fixation on one or more aircraft seats, with a life vest unit, which is embodied as a lift vest with a packaging unit for a sealed accommodation of the life vest unit and with an opening unit for an opening of the packaging unit, which features one or more pull straps. The opening unit is functionally connected with the life vest unit and the packaging unit comprises one or more fixation units for a fixation on an aircraft seat. For a retrieval of the life vest unit from the packaging unit, the opening unit is connected in a tear-proof manner with the life vest unit. The pull strap and the life vest are embodied integrally with each other.
Method for verifying the presence of equipment on board an aircraft, and associated device
The present invention relates to a method for verifying the presence of equipment (E) on board an aircraft, the method comprising the following steps:—during a flight of the aircraft, implementing (102) radio communication tests by means of a device (2) on board the aircraft so as to determine an in-flight list of equipment consisting of any equipment having a quality of radio link with the radio communication device (2) higher than a first predetermined quality threshold;—after the flight, implementing (104) radio communication tests by means of the device (2) so as to determine a post-flight list of equipment consisting of any equipment having a quality of radio link with the radio communication device (2) higher than a second predetermined threshold after the flight;—generating (108) an alert when an item of equipment is present on the in-flight list and absent from the post-flight list.
Sealable life vest stowage device
A life vest stowage device comprises a receptacle with a receptacle opening. The device has first and second tabs with first and second tab apertures. In a closed configuration, a closure flap is in a folded position in which it at least partially covers the opening. The first and second tabs are exposed through the closure flap to allow access to the tab apertures from an outer side of the closure flap. A pull strap extends from the interior volume through the opening and over the outer side of the closure flap. The pull strap has a pull strap aperture securable to the first and second tab apertures by a frangible seal, such that the closure flap can only be moved to an unfolded position by moving the pull strap aperture and the first and second tab apertures away from one another so as to break the frangible seal.
CONDUCTIVE TOUCH-FASTENERS FOR SENSORS IN PASSENGER SEATS
Described are passenger seat assemblies that include a passenger seat frame (212), a first passenger seat element (224) connected with the passenger seat frame, and a second passenger seat element (226) configured to removably connect with the first passenger seat element. Each of the first and second passenger seat elements includes a respective conductive touch fastener (228, 232) that, together, complete a circuit when the second passenger seat element is connected with the first passenger seat element. The circuit can be used as a sensor to determine whether the first and second passenger seat elements are connected.
