Pilot and passenger seat
The present invention achieves technical advantages as a pilot and passenger seating. An aircraft employs a pilot seat, comprising a contoured structure having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, with left and right arm supports that include an articulated control knob, movable in three rectangular axes and rotatable about a vertical axis to provide one or more aircraft steering functions for an aircraft, and a touch-sensitive control surface for controlling one or more power system components. A passenger seat, having a contoured structure, having ergonomically formed and padded surfaces, a headrest, a seat, a left support member, and a right support member are adapted to cradle a portion of a passenger's body to support the passenger during travel.
Aircraft passenger seat oxygen system
An onboard oxygen system for aircraft includes an oxygen source, a regulator connected to the oxygen source, and an oxygen mask connected to the regulator. The oxygen source is stored in a cavity in a passenger seat armrest. The oxygen mask is stored in a mask storage compartment attached to the armrest. The oxygen mask is deployed for use through an opening in the mask storage compartment.
Aircraft seating assemblies
A seating assembly may employ one or more of: a seat stagger, a seat overlap, and a seat angling to offer significant width and comfort gains and reduce the negative impact of width and leg room gains on seating density. With one seat of a pair staggered forward with respect to the other seat each may then be moved laterally and overlap (as seen from the front). The seating positions may be further improved by angling each seat away from their center arm rest area, reducing the encroaching effect of the overlap by pointing the passenger away from the overlap, reducing the visual impact of the staggered seating by pointing the passenger away from the nearest seat ahead, and improving leg room by directing the passenger's legs forward at an angle.
CABIN ATTENDANT AIRCRAFT SEAT LEG REST WITH FOOT SUPPORT
A leg rest assembly is disclosed. The assembly may include a support sub-assembly configured to provide at least one of leg support or foot support. The support sub-assembly may include a panel and a support cushion. The support cushion may include a cavity defined by one or more surfaces of the support cushion. The assembly may include a translation sub-assembly configured to translate the support sub-assembly. The translation sub-assembly may include one or more translation arms. The translation sub-assembly may include one or more guide rails. The translation sub-assembly may include one or more linear bearings configured to engage with the one or more guide rails, the one or more linear bears slideable along a length of the one or more guide rails. The translation sub-assembly may include one or more translation devices configured to translate the support sub-assembly between a first position and one or more additional positions.
Easy hook armrest assembly for aircraft seat
An armrest for a seat may comprise paneling and an easy hook assembly. The easy hook assembly may include a flange and a keyhole protrusion. The flange and the keyhole protrusion may each extending beyond an exterior surface of the paneling. The flange and the keyhole protrusion may allow the armrest to be installed after the paneling is attached.
Passenger seating arrangement having a screen between seat units
A passenger seating arrangement for use in an aircraft cabin, wherein the seat units are arranged in an inwardly facing herringbone layout. A screen is arranged to separate a passenger in each aft seat unit from a passenger in a fore seat unit in front of it in the column. The screen comprises an upper part and a lower part below the upper part, the upper and lower parts of the screen being offset relative to each other, for example to create an overhang on the side of the screen facing the aft seat unit, such that, the upper part provides shoulder space for a passenger seated in the fore seat unit, and the lower part provides arm space, in which there is an arm rest, for a passenger seated in the aft seat unit.
Rotating armrest assembly
An armrest assembly for a passenger seat includes a moveable arm including a proximal end and a distal end, a stowed configuration wherein the moveable arm is disposed adjacent and approximately parallel to a seatback of the passenger seat, and a deployed configuration wherein the moveable arm is approximately parallel to a seat pan of the passenger seat. The moveable arm may include a first portion and a second portion. The armrest assembly may include a first rotation axis such that the moveable arm pivots about the first rotation axis when moving between the stowed configuration and the deployed configuration. The armrest assembly may include a second rotation axis such that the second portion pivots about the second rotation axis relative to the first portion.
Passenger seat having a displaceable seat element
A passenger seat comprises a carrier structure, a backrest and a seat element displaceably fastened to the carrier structure, relative to the backrest, in a depth direction of a seating surface of the seat element between a usable position and an out-of-use position. In the usable position, the seat element is arranged, relative to the backrest, so that a front edge of the seat element that faces away from the backrest is arranged at a first distance from a backrest surface of the backrest. In the out-of-use position, the seat element is received, at least partially, in a gap provided between a part of the carrier structure carrying the seat element and an edge of the backrest facing towards the seat element, the front edge of the seat element being arranged at a second, smaller distance from the backrest surface of the backrest than the first distance.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MOVEABLY SUPPORTING AN ULTRAVIOLET (UV) LIGHT LAMP WITHIN AN ENCLOSED SPACE
A disinfecting system and method for an enclosed space include an articulating arm moveably coupled to a structure within the enclosed space. An ultraviolet (UV) lamp is coupled to the articulating arm. The UV lamp is configured to emit UV light toward a disinfection zone within the enclosed space. The articulating arm allows the UV lamp to move relative to the disinfection zone.
PASSENGER SEAT ARMREST WITH A MULTI-ZONE TOP SURFACE
An armrest for a passenger seat has a forward end, an aft end opposite from the forward end, and a top surface extending from the forward end to the aft end. The top surface includes a first zone and a second zone, and a curvature of the first zone of the top surface is different from a curvature of the second zone of the top surface. In some examples, at least one of the first zone or the second zone has a concave curvature.
