Method and Device for Transporting an Incapacitated Person
An emergency device for transporting incapacitated persons. The device is affixed to an existing seat on a mode of transportation, such as an airplane seat, such that it appears to form the upper layer of the seat. If the passenger in the seat becomes incapacitated, the device can easily be detached from the seat, and placed into use as an emergency transportation device. The device includes handles that allow assisting persons to grasp it. The device may be rolled up into compact form when not in use as an upper layer of the seat or as an emergency transportation device. In its compact form, it may be used as a travel pillow.

An enclosed patient suite may include a plurality of suite walls, a patient bed positioned in a patient area defined within the plurality of suite walls, a plurality of medical systems with at least some of the plurality of medical systems mounted to the plurality of suite walls, a plurality of support members coupled to the plurality of suite walls, a plurality of wheels with a particular wheel of the plurality of wheels coupled to a corresponding support member of the plurality of support members, a rail brake configured to engage a floor-mounted rail in a floor of at least one of a cargo hold or a cabin of an aircraft, and a controller coupled to the plurality of medical systems and configured to receive data from and transmit data to the plurality of medical systems. The enclosed patient suite may be dimensioned to fit within the aircraft.

In some embodiments, the equipment includes a module base comprising a mount assembly having an unlocked configuration and a locked configuration. The mount assembly preferably can be adjusted between the unlocked and locked configurations by a tool-free operation. In addition, certain embodiments provide a module base having an advantageous system for releasably locking a stretcher onto the module base.

The lavatory enclosure has a doorway in the third wall and a door having a first side, a second side, an upper end, and a lower end, in the doorway. The door is operable between an opened position and a closed position. A reconfigurable wall element with a first edge and a second edge is disposed in the second wall. The reconfigurable wall element has a hinge along the first edge permitting the reconfigurable wall element to pivot between a closed position, where the reconfigurable element is flush with the second wall, and an opened position, where the second edge of the reconfigurable wall element is pivoted so that the second edge is interior to the lavatory enclosure.

Further, the toilet module includes a storage shelf attached to the housing and a swivable table attached to the housing and movable to an extended configuration. The swivable table overlaps the storage shelf when in the extended configuration.
